Worst nacho's ever, if you can even call them that. Scant toppings, just some shredded lettuce & a few chops of tomato, then stingingly drizzled with watered down queso, all for the bargain price of $13. Just gross. Servers were lackluster. Yeah we won't be back.
Clean and nice ambience. Food has good portions and flavor, not too salty or oily. Outdoor seating is especially nice.
A great Local Pub! It feels like Cheers when you walk in, greeted with smiles and thanking you for coming in. If you are there a lot they even call you by your name...LOL They have a GREAT atmosphere, the BEER selection is Phenomenal. If you like sours..The Thin Man (Buffalo) Minkey Boodle is on tap...Deeeellliiicious. The FOOD ...OMG...the shrimp tacos are to die for. The pretzel with beer cheese is made for 2..you gotta get mustard for it makes it perfect...The cobb salad is scrumptious made very fresh and has ALL the right ingredients. Don't take my word for it go down and give them a try...You wont be disappointed!
Went with mom on a Saturday for an early lunch. Loved that they had a parking lot (hard to find sometimes in Schenectady) Loved the interior. We were seated near the bar at one of the low tables, (mom can't handle the high tops). Nicole was the bartender and server and greeted us with a friendly smile and attitude. We had the cheese curds to start. Very crispy on the outside and cheesy goodness on the inside. Loved the honey drizzle for that hint of sweet. I had the goat cheese sandwich and mom had fish and chips Both very tasty and plentiful and had to ask for boxes to take home. Great beer selection and mom loved the peanut butter martini. Atmosphere was pleasant and had a neighborhood bar feel. Will definitely go back. Nicole made our experience very special. Thank you!
It was good. Went on a Saturday afternoon. First time here. Place was clean. Had a crowd but not hammered. Nicole took care of us at the bar. She was on her game and great. Thanks we'll be back. Oh the Reuben was delicious.
It was a blustery Friday before a much awaited teacher break. My friend and I sat at the bar and had lively, friendly conversation with the bartender. We had a few beers and an appetizer of waffle fries with beer cheese, bacon, and fried eggs.I'm bias to the food of the former City Squire, but I'm coming around to the new one.
Gave this place a try on a Google food search and stoked we did! Cute atmosphere. Great food and friendly staff. My salad was delicious.
Great food! Great staff! We have been to the City Squire several times and have never been disappointed. The portions are generous and the staff is attentive. Have brought several friends and family and not one person has been disappointed. Will continue to be one of my staple restaurants to visit!
I wish I could give you a review of the drinks or food, but we didn't even make it that far. From the moment we stepped inside, the manager was extremely rude and unwelcoming. The energy of a restaurant and the waitstaff starts from the top and the manager did not set a good example for his staff on how to treat customers. They lost the business of 16 people, during what appeared to be a slow time (before a dinner rush) with barely any other customers there. Collectively, I'm pretty sure none of us will be back. Bad "word of mouth" is precisely the kind that you DON'T want.
The manager was so rude! Definitely not a place you want to go with a large group.
