Anyone know where the prior Chinese restaurant moved to that waa in this location? I really loved their cold Hong Kong style noodles.
Excellent authentic northern Chinese food. Steamed Juicy buns is a must try. Wonton broth is also authentic (time consuming), made w dried flat fish. Garlic w Chinese veges. Salt and pepper shrimps in a fusion style. Beef noodles soup is good too. Surprising to find good traditional Chinese food in upstate New York. If you’re ordering from this place, avoid the American Chinese dishes on the menu. Try the REAL Chinese dishes. Enjoy!

The first time we ordered in December 2021, all I really wanted was the stir fry pea shoots. My child had chicken tender with egg fry rice, and my hubby had Dan Dan noodles and boneless ribs.We were very excited about the quantity of the pea shoots we received. However, upon opening, I discovered sores and brown patches on the cooked vegetable. The taste was rotten and unpleasant. It dawned on me that we were given old stale pea shoots and I can't even salvage it. Needless to say it caused minor upset stomach afterwards.I'm disappointed by our first takeout experience from Mr.Chen's Express. I was really hoping to become a regular but the bad pea shoots really let me down.
I have no idea how this place has 4+ stars… Decided to try based on high reviews and can’t say the food was anything but passable, at best. No one really enjoyed any of the dishes we ordered. They also gave us the wrong soup and the fortune cookies are stale. We had high hopes, but will definitely not order food from here again.
The food is surprisingly good, try the spicy pepper beef, clean and nice location
Some menu items taste a little fishy.
Pretty solid (not so Americanized) Chinese food. The lunch specials are a good deal. Nice people.
