The artichoke spinach dip is to die for! And the shrimp argula salad was so good! I was sorry we didn't have enough time to go back for a second visit. Highly recommended.
I had the day off from work for my birthday and I knew it must have been an amazing place when it was packed during lunch on a Tuesday! I had heard of Scallions from a vegan group (I am vegetarian), and I got the falafel wrap which I loved!! For dessert my wife and I shared their malted chocolate caramel pie, and I was excited to see they had non-alcoholic beer!! I have seen it sold in stores but never in restaurants. We just had a lot of time in between finishing our plates/ being given the dessert menu, and then again getting the check. They are a very busy place though, so while I am putting down 4 stars I want to ensure people know I really think it is a great place to check out. Also definitely make a reservation no matter the time or day! We still did not wait long regardless though.
The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We had two healthy options from the menu. Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor and seasoning. The broccoli in my meal had gone bad. My partner's dinner was very dry. As well, the meals were quite expensive for what they were. None of this is to detract from the staff, who were lovely.
We had a delightful dinner at Scallions. Shared the chicken in bourbon peach sauce, crab cakes and a gelato for dessert. Everything yummy and plenty to share. Cocktails were great--rhubarb strawberry lemonade so refreshing and the peach martini yum. Great service from Asia (Aja?), staff was friendly and attentive, restaurant relaxed, creative design/art. Very happy to return if we come back this way.
Dined here for the second time in 15-20 years. The fried green tomatoes were good, side salad decent, cocktail good. The fish special was escolar. The dish was predominantly risotto (good) with 4-5 extremely thin slices of fish. The price was inflated for the portion of fish and the fish was a bit dry, not much flavor. From what I read online, this fish can be a digestive issue when eaten in more than moderate quantities, but the portion was not even moderate. The vegan sicilian panelle had a nice roasted vegetable ragu, but the "fried chickpea fritters" were actually somewhat dry chickpea cakes. Service was great, no complaints there. I don't think we will be returning.
My food was decent but my husband said that his lacked flavor. It was our first time trying this and will be our only time. I don't feel like we were satisfied after spending what we had spent. It has a nice atmosphere for a small restaurant. If you're looking for a healthy place to eat then this is for you.
delicious food served in a modern artistic atmosphere. Caring and attentive staff ...Crab cakes were Fabulous!
We've been stopping at this restaurant for over 20 years, every time we drive between NYC and Montreal, going back to when it was located on the main street of town before moving to this location. It never disappoints. Guaranteed that practically anything you order will be delicious. Plus the decor is really cute (love the tables!), the staff is super friendly, and there's always a nice vibe in the place.
As a belated birthday present, I brought my wife here recently. Food was great. Atmosphere was nice. Staff was very helpful. Really nice experience.
I enjoyed my visit to Scallions. The wraps were flavorful and it made me think about all of the options at dinner, which seem incredible. Can't wait to go there for dinner.
