I was excited to order Boba tea but as I was waiting at the counter for my order, a man who works here entered the restaurant and pushed my son out of his way as he entered - he did not say "excuse me" or show any indication of needing to get by.I will never support this establishment again. You do not push children! Especially someone else's child and a CUSTOMER. I have worked hard to teach my children manners and if he had said excuse me he would have stepped aside.
Best Boba in upstate NY! Walked in and asked. It's a bit expensive but the brown sugar boba is the BEST.
The worst, most inedible take out dish I have EVER purchased. I had the Basil Chicken dinner for $16.03 plus tip. The chicken was slimy, rubbery and had no individual taste to it...the peppers and (I assume zucchini?!?) were so old and rotten I had to throw the dish away. ABSOLUTELY GROSS!!! I wish I had taken photos to show you how nasty this was.
Today, I ordered the Szechuan Chicken, but I had requested for them to make it with beef instead. This place actually did it and it turned out to be spectacular. This Szechuan Beef is stir-fried with vegetables in a sauce that perfectly balances the spice and umami levels. Mix this sauce with plain or even fried rice and just taste the way it completely transforms it! The food always arrives piping hot and well packaged! If you're looking for affordable, delicious and consistent Chinese in Saratoga, this is the place to order from!
Amazing me and my sister go there all the time for boba 10/10 you can tell it’s hand made and perfect
Went to this place....they are always closed! They really need to put up a sign. Lesson learned...call before driving there and looking for parking!
You absolutely CANNOT find better boba than here at Bamboo Cookhouse. I go in nearly 7 days a WEEK and get 3-4 Thai tea Boba with extra boba. The Thai tea isn't as sweet as other flavors which is perfect for me because I like the happy medium between sweet/not as sweet. If you haven't been here...RUN DONT WALK AND GET YOUR BUTTS IN HERE TODAY!!!!! Amy is so sweet and lovely. She gets things done fast and right. The restaurant is family owned, and the family dynamic is wonderful. Thank you Bamboo Cookhouse for always providing the best service and best Chinese food around. The Chinese and Thai food here are better than any other place around, near and far. You cannot beat this guys...come in and get yours TODAY! And say hi to Amy, she's wonderful!!!
Used to love this place before a 12 year old started answering the phone. Once called to pick up an order, was told they don't have pickup. Asked if they delivered, was they didn't. Asked if they had dine in, that was also a no. No delivery, no take out and no dine in? Why even answer the phone? Haha
If "0" stars were an option, I would have absolutely been much more obliged. Seeing as its not an option, we can call it "1" star. First and last time ordering at this crap hole in the wall. I ordered the eggplant and said no extra vegetables, and was told that I needed to use clearer terms as the American language was not their first language..fine. Not ONLY were oversized vegetables included, but the eggplant was undercooked and hard to bite into. It was a disgrace. I could have gotten better Chinese food from the mall food court. Pancake was oily and gross. I called to tell them about the flaws and stated that I was a first time customer, and not only did they say they couldn't refund the items, because the cost of food was too high for them to just refund, but that they would not fix their mistakes stating that I would have to wait until 9pm when they closed for them to deliver the corrected food. Order was placed at 4pm. Upon further inspection, the boba didn't have nearly enough boba, let alone the extra boba that I paid for. Wonton soup was edible. Pancake didn't have dipping sauce when the receipt clearly stated extra..and they must have interpreted extra as none, which there was, none! After calling and the staff speaking in chinese, it resulted in them hanging up on me, then putting phone off the hook! Finally just got in my car w the food and drove the 2.6 miles to the restaurant for the refund. They didnt refund the delivery charge or the 5 dollar tip. So from 4pm til now, 6:45pm, was a complete waste of time and energy. The only things i kept were the soup and Tai boba. Being located in the touristy downtown Saratoga Springs area on broadway, the restaurant was take out only and falsely advertised. While waiting for the only english speaking register girl, I saw a mouse run by in the kitchen. Do yourself a favor and stick w mall food court Chinese food. Such a disappointing experience. Shame on you, Bamboo cook house. Shame. On. YOU!
Ordered from here because the place I normally order from is closed on Sunday. Vegetables weren’t cut up enough, and there was more rice than chow mein in the combo meal.
