Small menu but everything was great! Poke bowl, fish and chips and a fish sandwich we're all excellent! Service was a bit slow but we weren't in any kind of hurry. The views are great as well as the cocktails are too. We'll be back as we're only 20 minutes away.
Came here for dinner and was told we had a 40 minute wait. Apparently you cannot make reservations if you have less than 8 in your party. So we got a drink at the bar and realized that there were 7 tables for 4 outside not being used. I asked one waitress and she thought it was strange that we weren’t being seated yet. I then went to the hostess and asked and they told me we had 30 more minutes to wait and that the tables not being used were all reserved. We stayed a little longer, no one sat down at any of the tables, I went inside and saw that there were at least 5 tables not being used and we were still not being seated. So we made reservations at Forno (a local Italian restaurant), called an Uber and walked out still with all these tables open. Thank you Forno, no thank you to 550…what a waste of time….please see pictures
Outside seating is great. Inside was a bit loud like cafeteria loud.Our server Amber C. was friendly and efficient. Had vegan options and Amber had all the details.Adirondack chairs on beach are a nice touch. Eat at bar is first come first serve basis.Drinks are pricey but the view is great. Extra parking across the street. The main lot fills up fast.
5 stars for atmosphere alone. What a pleasant lunch experience. Inside was hopping so we took a seat in a tented area that boasted two conversation lounge areas and tables facing the water. Amber our waitress was attentive and friendly. Fish and chips were excellent. Loved the Reggae beachy vibe.
I've been here a few times over the past year. I really wish you could give half stars, because I'd rate this place a 4.5. The location and atmosphere are absolutely beautiful. Right on Saratoga lake, with beautiful views. The place is gorgeous and clean, service is wonderful. The food is above average, but nothing that thrills me, the menu is very small in my opinion. I do love their crab dip appetizer. Prices are typical Saratoga tourist prices, but I understand due to the inflation right now.Parking is limited & they offer a 10% discount for anyone showing an uber receipt. After your meal take a stroll down to their marina. Great date night or girls night spot. Will be back!
Beautiful location, right by the lake. Loved the ambiance, the decor and the vibe. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had a large table with a beautiful view of the lake. The cocktails were very good, however, we weren’t too impressed with the food. Being a large group of seven, we ordered variety of starters and entrées, some were good, like the burrata flatbread but some we felt could have been better.
This place is a just beautiful. The view, the vibe, the drinks, everything is perfect. Chips and guac, fries and drinks were great. The lobster roll was nice but not good enough for the price, have had better rolls before. A reservation is must on weekends but if you don't have one you can simply go to the counter or the patio where there is enough outdoor seating with a pretty view.
Still the same perfect Saratoga meeting place.. beautiful surroundings right on the lake.. fabulous cocktail's.. fabulous service! But unfortunately there has been a change in chef who has taken some of the best dishes off the menu and the food is just not the same. 550 management might want to take a serious look at the new chef issue because it is going to affect business. Prices are way too high for mediocre food.
The venue is very beautiful from A-Z however our experience with the service was quite lacking. The silverware wasn’t set up and we had to ask many times for drinks, food, etc. Perhaps it was the kitchen, servers, etc and something to do with understaffing and we empathize with all that is going on in the world. We simply want to make this known so if the ownership/management team sees a trend in feedback they make take corrective action so all parties are happy.
*A must visit in Saratoga*Perfect place to catch up with friends in Spring-Summer.The *views* from every aspect of the venue (indoors, outdoors, bar) are all great!There’s fireplaces and so much seating variety outside. And the outdoor bar sets the tone.The *food* is fresh and colorful. I haven’t had a better lobster roll anywhere.The *drinks* menu is serious! And it’s a great place to catch up with friends, take the kids and just hang out for a long time. There’s no rush to leave the venue because there’s different places to move and sit once you’ve finished your meal.Highly recommend ?
