The poke bowl was great, the swordfish sandwich was delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. I have been here many times and always deliver a good meal.
Food great, a little pricey but we love how beautiful the restaurant is and the Christmas decorations are amazing!
Wife and I have been to 550 several times since it opened in the new building last summer. The food is great, and the atmosphere/vibe is very nice. But we had a bad experience this past Saturday that we need to report. We arrived around 4:30pm, and there was no wait for a table. That was good. But once we got inside, things went downhill. The main issue was the noise level - the place was so noisy that we couldn't carry on a conversation across our table. 550 was developed by the Phinney Design Group, a local architectural firm that also owns the Local in Saratoga. The Local is small and has a low ceiling, and it's noisy. But 550 is very large with high ceilings. I would think that an architectural firm would have some knowledge of acoustics and would have provided some sound absorbing surfaces to manage the noise level. But between conversation and music, the noise was really unbearable. I understand that part of the vibe of 550 is the activity, and sound is one of the things that conveys that feeling to customers. But when the sound gets out of control to the point that it is painful, it drives customers away. The owners need to take a serious look at providing some acoustical treatment to manage the noise at 550.
We have eaten there numerous times both inside and outside. The food is excellent. The waitstaff are all friendly and spot on. The view of the Lake is beautiful. 550 fifty is out favorite restaurant.

My reservation day got rained out. I tried contacting them for a refund/reschedule (at least 10 times over the past month). Nobody has picked up the phone and there's been no response to my email.
I reserved a boat for a half day. Paid my $321 dollars, but the day before I went in person to cancel because the weather was supposed to be stormy. I had to go in person because I couldn't get anyone on the phone. The person I spoke to said I would get a refund. The refund never came, even after I sent several emails. I received no response to my emails either. Looks like I'm out $321.
Stopped here after cruising on Lake Saratoga. Had a wonderful lunch. Food was excellent and staff was great.
This waterfront restaurant has a lovely view of Saratoga Lake with both inside & outside seating available. I had the hot lobster roll (choice of hot or cold lobster), & my friend had the the hand-chopped ahi tuna burger. They both were tasty. While the lobster roll was $26.95, it did have good sized pieces of lobster. Sandwiches came with a choice of cole slaw, chips, or potato salad. When I asked whether their fries were freshly made there, our waitress told us they were frozen. I, therefore, chose the potato salad which was fine. Note they have their own parking lot & also that they're currently not taking reservations. FYI, I took off 1/2 a star as the place was loaded with FLIES! We chose to sit indoors, which was pleasant with a lovely view of the lake. As the restaurant had garage doors totally open to the outside though, without any screens, having to swat away flies repeatedly during lunch was a nuisance.
