Wow! What a great breakfast! Lots of tasty choices - it was hard to decide what to order. We went for breakfast on Thursday of our son's college graduation weekend. Our first visit. I wish we had discovered The Mad Hatter on move-in weekend of freshman year! Great food and great service. We also got some pastries to go, as we were leaving. Delicious!
The Mad Hatter is an adorable brunch spot. If you want great tea service, this is your place. There is a wide selection of teas and bakery items. I am not an eggs Benedict fan, however, I wish I was because they looked delicious. They also specialize in topped potatoes. We will definitely be back!
Ok. This place is magical. First. Blood orange mimosa is a must. Then if you like Eggs Benedict then prepare to be ruined for any other place. Get the cheddar biscuit as the base. I had the Queen with bacon and a Irish banger on the side. And top the potatoes with a topper. It will cost an extra hour on the treadmill but it’s worth it. The Hatters topper is SOOO GOOD!!!! I had no idea what British gravy was but now I’m a little upset because I won’t be able to find this in Virginia!!!! Well, maybe with some luck. Cute place! Has a bakery too on top of everything!!! If you come anywhere near close to being in Rochester, you have to come here!!!! Staff is super friendly and on point. Jenn was wonderful!!
Ok, so I don't live around hear and my wife found by chance. This place is so awesome. Look at the pictures of the mad hatter plate fyi order the small as the large is so much food. The flavored coffee is so good. The total experience with the food and ambiance is so awesome. Great job. I will be back when in town again.
Decorative restaurant, friendly staff, delicious veggie scrams and fluffy buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips.
Amazing!!! Staff super friendly food is delicious and very filling portions. Also very nice little bakery selection in the front. I would say stop in ASAP and enjoy a bite at the Mad Hatter. Parking Is a little weird but so worth it.
Simply perfect breakfast with English charm, many options and even more pastries. Do yourself a favor and eat here now. The pancakes, French toast, eggs Benedict, tea selection, etc were all so good. Service was really excellent too even with them being so busy.
The only downside is that it's a long wait to get, because it's amazing! It's well worth the wait. The food is phenomenal. There are amazing when it comes to allergens. The staff is really kind and very polite. A little pricier, but it's good quality ingredients and great customer service
The restaurant food menu has been divine each visit - would highly recommend the Benedict’s and getting some side potatoes; however, the hostess staff attitude has been a pretty big turn off and makes the necessary wait time a tough pill to swallow. I will also say, I am cold every time I eat here which isn’t exactly cozy. Pastry selection is impressive but would not recommend the cookies - they are cakey & reminiscent of the ez bake oven days.
My wife and I celebrated my birthday with the Full Monty high tea package. It was honestly amazing. The tea menu had a lot of different options, the scones were yummy, the sandwiches were delicious, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. I am a huge fan and will be returning!
