Latest takeout hours in a bar in Rochester with food that is above average for a sports bar (until 1am), which is an understatement. The bartenders there are all at the top of their game everytime I visit. Security there for peace of mind which is nice but for the most part there's never any real big problems. Karaoke night on Sundays is very entertaining :) Go see Jenna and the folks there for an awesome time 10/10 recommend.
One of the best foods I have ever had. We tried a little of everything and absolutely everything is amazing. I can not wait to try the duck wings next time. Do not know how they have not won awards for their Cubano sandwich.
The food here is always on point and the workers are always in high spirits. If you're hungry for lunch or dinner or you want to enjoy a drink, The Angry Goat is the place to go! They have it all!! Very impressive.
Moved to the area about a year ago. Basically every experience I’ve had here has been pretty bad. The service was awful. At one point the bartender was actually cursing out customers because he was having a bad day or whatever. It made us so uncomfortable we left. The staff is always rude I’ve been back a few times to see if things would change but I have yet to experience a good time there overall and for that I will not be returning and I don’t recommend it to my friends / out of towners (I also work in the hospitality industry) there are so many other welcoming places to go to. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the food is actually really good. Maybe would recommend take out instead of dine in for late night eats.
Awesome late night food source in downtown Rochester. Flew in to ROC late and The Angry Goat has its kitchen open until 1 am daily. Ordered takeout over the phone around 11:30 pm on a Sunday night and had a 25 m estimate. The Southern Fried Chicken Tenders were absolutely delicious and plentiful. The Blueberry BBQ sauce has a strong and distinct blueberry flavor; tasted great! I also had a side of fries ordered as well, and everything came in the same box. The chicken tenders were on top of the fries and by the time I picked up my order (I was probably 15-20m late) my food was still warm but the fries were kind of soggy. Didn't matter, still tasted great since the seasoning was on point. They're the thick kind of fries that aren't as thick as steak fries but are about 3-4 times thicker than McDonald's fries. I really enjoyed it, and even if I didn't fly in late I'd still choose to order food from The Angry Goat again. PS the breading on the chicken tenders is dairy free.
My wife and I met her parents in Rochester; none of us live around there. When they are on the road, my father-in-law always wants to try whatever food the area is known for; also, Florida doesn't have corner pubs. So we looked for a corner pub that serves garbage plates.Sorry, Rochester - we were kind of "meh" on the garbage plate, or "goat plate" as they call it, as a concept, but we got the impression that it was a good example of its type. So I can't fault them for that.But they also had a fish fry which was amazing. It was similar in concept to fish and chips, but with a more solid batter. And it was about the best fish fry I have ever had.
While traveling for work I had to pick from tons of restaurants for diner every night and Angry Goat Pub did not disappoint. The ambiance of this small pub was great amd the food was even better. I ordered the Angry Goat Burger and it was unlike any burger I've had before. It was very well cooked and a creative spin on a burger. Also tried a duck wing for the first time and it was amazing. It was very crispy and the sauce was awesome. Definitely check this place out.
First time here. The food was delicious and the service top notch!
Stopped in for a fish fry, mmmm, mmmm, mmmm! The batter was very tasty and very crunchy. The fish was perfectly cooked, the fries were good as well as the mac salad. We had a couple of mixed drinks that were great. It was our first time and was a little surprised at how few tables they had. Had seating at the bar, not an issue for us. The staff was friendly and the environment inviting. After we ate we played a couple of rounds of darts, they have two machines. By the time we left, 9:30/10pm the place was jamming. Filled with lots a great people out enjoying a Friday night. We will be definitely going back.
Good vibe and food. When I feel like it this is the place I will go to. Owner is nice and welcoming and whenever I leave I know I made the right decision.
