Great place to meet and chill! Coffee and food are good but it’s really the interesting ambience that makes this place stand out.

The blueberry muffin was good and the place looks really nice. However, the iced coffee that I ordered was very bland and the place is EXTREMELY loud, despite what other reviews say. This is a good place if you like loud atmospheres, but it is not if you are used to quieter places for studying. In addition, there are no student discounts, despite what other reviews say.

Wandered in to Spot Coffee on our first morning in Rochester. It's in an old Chevrolet dealer building, so we were wowed by the architecture and the fixtures. All was super cool. Loved the big mural inside, too... very fun. Coffee was good - about on par with most every coffee shop that I've ever been too. Anything that doesn't taste like vile burnt Starbucks coffee is pretty much good enough for me. Also got a bagel with veggie cream cheese. The veggie cream cheese was by far the best I've ever had.. super fresh veggies, perfectly mixed in with the equally fresh cream cheese. Wish I had gone back later in the day for dessert... looked amazing. Highly recommend.

Coffee 4/5 - I have had had dark roasts elsewhere that made me need a shave afterwards; the Spot roast was good but not memorable. Omelet 3/5, eh. Brownie 3/5 eh. Bread with omelet 5/5! Saturday crowd before 11 am was light, even so could have used an extra staff person. Picked up after 11 (with more staff). Music was nice, indie singer/songwriter. Clean and bright. Open wi-fi 30 mbps. Prices were quite moderate.

GREAT Coffee! Super friendly people! Very helpful, very nice. It's a super cool space with a legit vintage feel to it. If I'm ever back in the area I'll definitely go there for my coffee.

good cappuccino but the room is very noisy. they should wait to vacuumuintil after closing.

I don't like that they don't regularly have different coffee roasts brewed. 2nd trip same thing. Other than that it's a nice place.

Well well, wouldn’t fate have it that today a New York Supreme Court ruled Hochul’s mask mandate is not only unconstitutional, but a violation of New York State law.Yesterday, a very large group of people came to SPoT to get some coffee in downtown Rochester. Some were locals, but most were from out of town or other states. There were several other customers, all of whom were sitting and did not have masks on. Some of the people in our group had masks, others did not. No one seemed to have an issue.Out of nowhere, this short-fused employee (with no mask on) started angrily yelling “ATTENTION! EVERYONE HAS TO PUT A MASK ON! IF YOU DON’T WANT TO, THE DOOR IS OVER THERE!” And then he pointed at the door. He then proceeded to highlight his lunacy by pulling up a semi-transparent gaiter over his face, which obviously offered him tons of scientifically proven protection. He continued to yell at customers every few minutes when he saw someone dare take a sip of their coffee while standing. No one complained about the longer wait, which is expected when a large group arrives and everyone starts placing orders. I’m not sure why this employee was all heated and flustered. We were being very polite and patient. With all of us buying coffee and food, they were making a killing. It was a very relaxed atmosphere until this bloke showed up. There was no reason to be so irrationally confrontational.I’m a local, and I will avoid this “hip cafe” at all costs. I refuse to support businesses who don’t value and respect their clientele.Slightly above-average coffee. Totally inexcusable behavior from the staff. Beyond rude. Tense atmosphere. Not welcoming in the slightest.

Terrible experience due to the way staff treated people. One of the employees kicked out an entire group for no good reason. He wore a super thin, almost transparent mask that provided 0 protection to anyone and made a huge deal that others wouldn't wear a mask while drinking coffee. Also, when this employee at clients for not wearing a mask, he himself wasn't wearing one.Coffee tasted: mehLocation: looks good but is starting to look like it wasn't taken care of for a while

Very poor customer service. A larger group of people came in and then the manager/server kicked them out after they all ordered something and paid saying the group is to large. Maybe you should have informed the group before they brought you profit about this so they could have taken their business somewhere else and enjoyed their time together. But yet, you chose to get their money and then yell at them and tell them to leave. This is not how customer service works.Regarding coffee, got a latte there and milk was overheated and burnt so didn't taste good at all. Would not recommend!
