Great food and excellent service. I asked if they served a lamb curry as I didn't see any on the buffet and they made some for me. Brought it to the table and it was delectable. Definitely coming back soon

We came to dinner today this place.. we like it here. Good Indian food. Place is clean hospitality is good. We enjoyed the foods. Thank you very much guys..

Excellent food and ambiance. For the price serving is very generous. One thali is enough for 2 people. We didn't have an idea so we ended up ordering foor for 4 people intead of 2 ?.We love spicy food and we have asked to make it hot ? and it was hot spicy and tasty unlike most indian restaurants where the food is bland.Thali - best thing was palak paneer and chicken makhani. Channay were ok and tikka was burnt.Tandoori platter - loved the malai boti, kabab, shrimps with sauteed vegetables.

I tried this place again. And much closer than my other favorite and starting to think it's better here. For one the food is also great. The chicken mahani might even be better. Chicken very tender. Their Nan is thinner and edges a bit crispy on edges. Not doughy. Dal is nice and spicy an great basmati rice. Tried a bit of most everything. Delicious. And never crowded tables nice distance and very clean. And polite. Very fresh fruit and vegetables. Wonder if they ever have curried goat or lamb on buffet one of my favorites

We went there for lunch buffet. Good collection of food. Lots of vegetarian options. They don’t have biriyani or mutton. They three chicken options and had fish.

Very nice place and the owner is super friendly, Our flight from Atlanta to buffalo was rerouted so we landed at Rochester not knowing anything came across this place on Google search. Good food and very clean it’s not the most Authentic Indian restaurant but definitely taste of food was good . Would recommend this place

We have been attending the Royal of India Wednesday night dinner buffet for the last three years and it is by far the top Indian food in town. If we lived closer we’d go for take away too! What makes it so good, glad you asked! 1. It is owned by a young couple who are always hands on, treat us as valued guests, and are hard working. 2. The food is continually being brought out in smaller batches and the dishes served change each visit. 3. The dishes are all clearly labeled including dietary contents (i.e., GF, Dairy, etc.). 4. The naan is always fresh and they always know ours is “No butter!” We remembered the owners from a prior restaurant in town and are so glad we read about them opening their own place. As we said when we left the other evening, “It is great to be able to support a local business.”

This review is about their buffet not about the other food they serve. When considering an Indian buffet this buffet has lesser number of food options. It is missing goat/lamb options that most of the India buffets have. Also I have seen byriani options in most of the buffets I have been but it's missing here. The food tasted good and staff was friendly. The place was clean and was not too crowded. The mango lassi was really good and chai tea was good.

We love Royal of India and eat there just about every week for the buffet (which is perfect for our picky eater kiddo). The food is excellent, the owners and servers are kind, and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend!

The Indian vegetarian options are bad! But they have a good options for buffet which is mostly during afternoons. The food is otherwise fairly decent compared to nearby options.
