If you want a simple sandwich or soup, this is a great, quick place. The food is good and what you could make at home if you have minimal culinary skills so it's nice to be and to go to a place that tastes like a sandwich from home when I can't get a sandwich from home.The broccoli cheddar soup was very good as well.
I love the place and the food, or at least used to. Since COVID, the staff turnover has been constant, and the quality of service has drastically declined. I used to go there every week, sometimes twice a week, but during COVID I witness first hand two things that I cannot abide.First, as mentioned above the overall quality of food and service has diminished. That could be attributed to new staff, sure, but my guess is that it has to do with the second problem. Multiple times as I was there, I saw the senior staff BULLY/ABUSE the new staff there for every single little mistake they made. This is simply unacceptable; if you are ok with treating your staff like that, even in front of costumers?! Then I want nothing to do with you restaurant anymore.
I love Root 31!! I pretty much eat lunch there at least once a week. The food is fresh, locally grown and delicious!
We came 20 minutes before closing looking for something different for dinner. The grilled cheese sandwich was good, so was the burger. Not so sure about the pasta soup? I couldn't tell if it was tomato soup or pasta soup. There wasn't a single bite of pasta in it.
Overpriced for cafe food in my opinion, plus the coffee (my latte) wasn’t good unfortunately. I will say, though, that the employee who helped us was very helpful & kind(:
An interesting little cafe nestled in a decent spot of Pittsford plaza. The menu is a tad bit odd, but once someone gets the swing of things, ordering is a breeze. The atmosphere is a solid 7 in comfort, but a tad chilly (Can't blame them for that). Parking in Pittsford Plaza is a pain anyways. lt looks like they offer outdoor seating for a better view. Definitely will recommend for a quick bite to eat before or after a movie. The staff was nice and helped with ordering my food.
Wonderful place!! Only one person working at counter we came in as well as others behind us for a bit. Food was yummy though and they have a unique selection. This was the salmon on flatbread. delicious.
The food was fresh and delicious. Staff was very friendly. They offer free water(flavored from a dispenser) which is a nice touch.
Good food. I Love the beet salad. The Vermont turkey wrap is also a must try. Love the chutney on it.
Eating here on our way home to PA. It was fantastic. I highly recommend the turkey burger
