I like this place very much. Be prepared to provide picture ID upon entering, staff is very friendly and welcoming. No cover the evening we visited. This is a unique space in that it looks like a dead end street was turned into a venue. The food was decent and there is usually live music. Lots of outdoor seating, the atmosphere is great, kind of like a block party....All in all, a pleasant way to spend a summer evening. Mixed age crowd, friendly vibe. Motorcycle parking is available. I didn't get a chance to explore the whole space this time, but I look forward to another visit to check out the indoor seating area as well as the game area. Parking can be somewhat of a challenge but definitely worth a visit.
Great place! You can be inside, or you can be outside....your choice. I love all the colorful lights! And the food is good too!
Went to VFW as a child to adult . Had many fun times. We went because everyone my parents knew was in a war of some sort. We showed our support and help out.

Came here while staying in the area on vacation. While it is a fantastic bar with great food and drinks, there is a lot going on here. Not really a place to come unwind after a long day, but if you're looking for a busy spot with lots of people to interact with this is it.
Gotta love living a block down Averill and having pumpkins ripped and stolen from my garden (messing up other plants in the process) that I put a lot of effort into. And then going down to beer park for a drink last night and seeing one of the pumpkins that was stolen from my garden sitting on the bar.

Why would I pay a $5 cover for no entertainment, mediocre drinks, a grimey atmosphere, and overworked confused bartenders? This place worked well with smaller crowds, but it is beyond disfunctional with large crowds. Their food is decent at best, but not worth it.If you want an enjoyable time, where you’d get cocktails or beers within 5-7 minutes, I’d search elsewhere.Shoutout to the nice security guard.
