I have been going here for sweets and chi teas for a few months now but only just had the pleasure of trying the hot food. I got the beef curry over rice and OHMYGOODNESS y'all, it was so good. I ate the whole thing and took a fantastic nap after. I can't wait to try the chicken curry next! Highly recommend the food, the treats, the drinks, and the conversation with the owner. Everyone is so nice. It's my favorite stop every Friday as a treat to myself.
My Favorite Ramen in Rochester! The staff is very accommodating. I highly recommend this place. I’ve visited 2 times so far and both times a great experience.
The service and the food was excellent. I’m so into sushi now And the ladies were great and recommending something new and fantastic. Try the specialty Maria rolls. You will be back for more❤️
Nothing spectacular - I wish I had liked the food more because the restaurant had a nice vibe! We had the shio and tonkotsu ramen, the killer shrimp sushi roll, fried rice, and the pork gyoza. The food was good, but not great. It was honestly kind of bland, especially the sushi. I wish the ramen had more broth and less noodles. Fair prices. The staff were very nice though!!
I really enjoyed our lunch date here. The customer service was excellent. I loved the unique sushi roll selection. The dirty South amazing. Atmosphere was cozy and the location near the river is nice. My friend's seaweed salad was massive. She enjoyed it. To be completely honest I was not 100 percent impressed with the ramen. The noodles were a little undercooked for my taste and the broth was on the bland side. A bit of soy sauce helped. All in all I would still recommend it. Everything else was perfect. Thank you.

I placed an order for pickup through Uber Eats. The staff didn’t understand that I was there to pick up my own order and not someone else’s. I arrived and spoke to two nice staff making sushi. After explaining that I was there to pick up an order I placed through Uber Eats for pick-up, they called for someone from the back to help me. I explained the same thing to that particular employee, who answered the phone and went to the back. I stood around waiting even though I arrived 8-10 minutes after I got an alert that my order was ready. I wasn’t really sure what was happening. One of the staff making sushi asked if I was being helped and I said that I wasn’t sure. When the employee they called out earlier came back, she asked me if I was there to pick up an order for Tim. I again had to explain I was there to pick up my own order. I provided her with my name twice. I explained that I was there to pick up my own order twice before she understood.This was a regrettable first experience at Roc City Ramen because of the customer service. If I were to give any advice, it would be to listen to your customers because Uber Eats has 2 options for their online orders - delivery and pick-up.The ramen I ordered was good. I wished it had less noodles and more broth. The veggie fried rice was not good (both in flavor and texture). The rice was mushy and lacked flavor.
Mike is amazing. Brenda, Maria, Aimee and the whole sushi crew are amazing at what they do and are incredibly accommodating. My go to place for months now. I can't say enough good. One in a million.
Fantastic broth and taré in both the standard and spicy pork belly bowls. The cloudy broth of the spicy tonkatsu is more than adequately rich. The staff is dope to customers and one another. Destined to be a Rochester staple as a rare nexus of affordability and quality.
I had 3 different kinds of sashimi, the employees are very nice and personable. The atmosphere is nice. Everything is fresh and delicious, and prepared right in front of you. Easily the best sashimi I've had in the Rochester area. I'd definitely come back.
