Loved this place! Used to come here all the time with my hubby! We came here tonight though with our son and HORRIBLE service! Waited 10 mins for our server to come over to us while she was sitting down at another table eating, but we were still nice about it until she kept giving us an attitude and that’s when I lost all respect. Please don’t ruin my evening because you’re having a bad day or just don’t want to wait on me!
Been going to Monte Alban (Irondequoit and Penfield) for years. Always good service and the food is tasty. I wouldn't call this authentic, but that's not an easy thing to find in Rochester. The food however, is consistently good with decent portion size, and is reasonably priced.The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is that they removed the one dish I really loved from their menu (Cazuelon). Not a huge deal at thenejenof the day though. Otherwise we usually have great experiences at these restaurants.
Service was great. Food was delicious. I would suggest they invest in wine glasses. Drinking wine out of a Margarita glass is not cool. I would definitely go back.

Incredible experience. We came in with 20 people, half of whom were children under 8, and everyone from the owner all the way down handled it perfectly. We were incredibly impressed with the service and the food was just as good. This is how you run a restaurant!
The food here is always amazing and the service is one of a kind. They have a great menu selection and the drinks are freaking delicious.
