When I miss my grandpa, I visit this diner, all by myself. You know because grandpa is dead now, so its just me, by myself. But this place is buzzing with old people of all shapes and sizes. Occasionally I find an old chap who looks just like my granpy. Brings a smile to my face. Then I eat my fries and bacon and leave. Thank you Mel's, will visit you again when I miss my granpy.
One of my favorite spots to get a fish fry locally. Their soup is hearty and I love their rice pudding. Mel’s gets busy on certain nights so plan ahead. Waitress are friendly and hardworking staff.
Delicious food and excellent service. Everyone working there was very friendly. Large menu and our food came out quickly and very hot. Definitely a place everyone should try.
Awesome blueberry pancakes. Bacon was crispy and the rest of the breakfast was perfect. Waitress was very nice too.

Horrible, horrible, and HORRIBLE.My pasta was disgusting beyond words. It was like someone crushed tomatoes in toilet water. Whatever, it happens. But I polightly tell the waitress and she brings out cocky miss manager who started screaming at me that it's homemade rague and it's the best ever. first off lady, if it's homemade, then you should cancel your WHOLE cooling career bc it was NASTY. Also, you could have been WAY nicer instead of offended like a child. Then walking out, your staff is laughing and pointing at us?! Most unprofessional place I've ever been to in my life. Don't go. Blonde manager can eat dirt.

I asked her well done home fires and they were burned to a crisp or just really old and triple cooked I couldn't even bite through some of them. The waitress was very nice and brought me a new order that looked boiled unseasoned and almost raw but they tasted fine. The wraps that we got were mostly dressing with speck of tomato and lettuce, chicken was a little on the dry side. Overall not super impressed. Could be enough day, I'll try them again.
