The best oysters the anyone can get in Rochester. They are really big and sweet really good I promise.

We had a delicious meal with great service. There was a $5 drink special as well as a nice selection of wines by the glass. I was nervous because the entry is not very grand —a little hidden, but once inside we felt welcome and the food was high end. We ate charcuterie, fingerling sweet potatoes (app), scallops, duck, trout and steak.

#supportinglocalbusinessMy husband & I used our gift certificate from my brother & sister-in-law & went to Lento Restaurant . We hadn’t been in a very long time & had forgotten how good it was! Staff was also very attentive. They use produce & products from local , sustainable & organic farms & shops as well.#culinaryheaven #RochesterNY #scallops #leeks #risotto #lambsausage

This was my first trip to Lento’s. I was very excited as I had heard wonderful things about the restaurant. We were seated quickly at a very small 2 top table. We ordered the crab cake and bread board as an appetizer before placing our entree orders Before our appetizers arrived, our server returned to take our entree order. We both ordered the spring salad. I ordered gnocchi’s, my partner ordered the trout. And this is the point where a truly 4/5 star restaurant nails it but Lento’s did not. Our salads came before our hot appetizer. The appetizer the arrived before we had even taken a bite of our salads. Both the crab cake and the salads were delicious it simply would have been nice to get them in order and been able to savor the flavors of each individually not en mass. Our entrees then arrived before we had even finished our apps and salads. We sent them back so we could enjoy the food we had. Remember we were seated at a tiny 2 top table on which there wasn’t room to place the entrees anyway. Deserts were good but not outstanding. All in all, the food was good, our server was attentive but the food service was disorganized. Clearly felt like a restaurant that is more interested in seating as many people as the possibly can in the shortest time possible rather than creating a 5 star dining experience that customers rave about. There is much room for improvement!

Love this place! Made a reservation and had no wait time. Food was great, raw oysters were DELICIOUS. We went for Valentine's day and will definitely being going back!

My friend and I came here on Tuesday for oysters! We also ordered the lamb sausage pasta, which was tasty. I prefer my food hotter than how it was served, but it was good nonetheless. All of the oysters were great and numbered for effortless reordering...which we definitely did. The service was great as well! When we arrived, it was pretty slow as they had just opened but quickly filled up. We also ordered the popcorn panna cotta and the riesling sorbet. I prefer the sorbet, but the panna cotta was very interesting! I'll definitely be back!

New Year’s Eve 2021 - dinner for 3 with Gabby as server. She was excellent, attentive and friendly. The other employees were all friendly too. Masks are enforced and they have some at the front desk. Smaller bar but nice. Some seats at the raw oyster bar. The steel head trout was delicious as was the duck. Bread with 3 spreads selected by the chef was very good.

We are longtime patrons who arrivedfor our first post-pandemic visit.we ordered a variety of starters including a mussel in a cider/ cream sauce; fried calamari with a cream drizzle: and their wonderful focccia with three spreads. All were unusually prepared. I tried a vegan cabbage roll with lentils, spaghetti squash and tomato sauce. Others had pumpkin ravioli, Spanish octopus salad, and soup. Service was friendly and helpful. A very pleased crowd in a dining room that was properly distanced,

Great date night! I had the fish fry and it was hot, fresh and delicious. My husband splurged on the steak and was not disappointed! He said it was the best steak he has had. Service was good!

My lamb leg entree was perfectly seasoned and tender. The chanterelles were also amazing. I loved every aspect of the meal and Deja was an attentive and informative server. The wines were very fairly priced and a good list. The pistachio creme brûlée was so-so, but it had a tough act to follow after the starters and entrees.
