Great little hidden gem in Rochester. Enjoyed the soup; lots of variations and flavours. This restaurant seemed very popular with locals and I can se why. Good food at reasonable prices. The restaurant is not pretty, but it was clean. If you're looking for ambience, go somewhere else. But if you're looking for good pho, eat here.
I've traveled all over the world and most recently Vietnam. They have the BEST authentic fragrant food in the area, rich PHO broth, delicious spring rolls, and spices are the tops. I drive 30 minutes and it is well with it!
This is a little hole in the wall establishment that has good Pho and spring rolls. The decor is nothing more than simple tables and hard plastic chairs on tile floor. The staff are friendly and ready to serve. Simple menu with small selection. We liked the beef Pho and spring rolls.
I can say with confidence, this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Rochester in my opinion. The staff is friendly, and the food is phenomenal. We came in on a completely packed Thursday around 12pm. Surprisingly the food came out in no time, and the staff was very efficient. For apps, we ordered the "banh bot chien," which is cubes of fried dough with scrambled egg. These were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. We also ordered the "cha gio," which are the fried spring rolls. 100% homemade and delicious. For our lunch mains, we ordered the beef pho and "com tam suon bi cha." For the pho, it was phenomenal. The fresh noodles with the fresh beef broth tasted incredible. For the "com tam suon bi cha," which is broken rice, grilled pork, with fried and steamed egg, this was also a great dish. The steamed egg was incredibly soft, and the grilled pork was tender and very flavourful. We look forward to returning and highly suggest Saigon Pho for any Vietnamese cuisine lovers out there.
