Terrible experience. Barista was very rude to me. Asked for a pour over and she immediately got attitude and told me it would be 15 minutes to make. They had two customers at the time one other barista (I just don’t think she felt like making it). Then when I was entering my email to get a receipt (which I needed to be reimbursed at work) she snickered and roll her eyes because it took me a second to enter.
I'll start my review by stating that if you're into flavored drip coffee, I'm sure this shop will check all the marks. They have a whole wall of flavored beans similar to Wegmans.I grade coffee shops based on the quality of their latte and look for three things:1. Espresso extraction2. Proper milk streaming3. Freshness of the beansOptional - latte art (shows the skills of the barista and requires the above 3 things to be correct)A good latte should be smooth with a velvety mouth feel and a fresh coffee aroma.I was not impressed at all. Their latte tasted like drip coffee with milk. The espresso was bitter, lacking aroma and the milk wasn't steamed properly. Also they were out of whole milk, which is a key ingredient in a traditional latte.
Finger Lakes is a great local roaster. They have a lot of flavored decaf options and a great Jamaican coffee. A lot of their made drinks use powders and I've had a variety of results on the same drink, sometimes overly sweet and sometimes not enough flavor, but usually decent nonetheless.
I love their coffee! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Big selection of flavored coffee, decaffeinated coffee and special roasts.
Quality service and good drink in a place that the aroma is enticing. It’s a good place to stop if you are in the plaza.
Love this company but not the cups. My suggestion is to only buy beans not buy coffee here, the cups are so cheap they will spill every time you take a drink. This has happened every time for years to us. We try to only buy beans and leave.
Wonderful coffee in a relaxed atmosphere. I'm partial to the S'mores flavored coffee.
A friend of mine raves about this coffee so I went to the store at the mall, I bought 4 lbs of coffee and I’m saying this NOT lightly-this is hands down the best coffee I’ve EVER had. I get sooooo excited to get up and make a cup (or 5). I even quit going to Starbucks. Super impressed. 10/10
Why kind of coffee shop doesn’t open until 8 AM?!? Extremely disappointing. Had a 50-60 dollar order that ended up going to Dunkin’ because this coffee shop wasn’t open at 7:45. What a crazy assumption that a coffee shop would be open in the morning.Edit: went there again on Feb 13, 2022. No more mask mandate but couldn’t even go in the door here as they still require masks. Awful establishment.
FLC combines my two favorite things about coffee shops, quirkiness and craft coffee. They might be a bit OTT with their mask message, but their product delivery is well worth the trip, if you like a little quirkiness in your life.
