The food was decent and the drinks were really good. I loved the orange with cinnamon alongside our shots! However, the service was trash. For a Friday night they should have been expecting some type of crowd, the young lady who served barely said a word to us, could barely give a suggestion or a glimpse of happiness when discussing the menu. She didn’t even bother to come pick up our empty appetizer/salsa plates she just sat everything else on the table and looked at us to scoot and stack the other plates over while we continued to order drinks. It was extremely weird for lack of a better word. The bathrooms reeked of pee.
Awesome food! And the staff is super friendly. Close, relaxed atmosphere with outdoor tables as well as a small inside section of casual seating and a very packed bar. Drinks were delicious! We had a small issue with the food (didn't expect sauce on the fajitas) and it was rapidly taken care of! We didn't even ask, they came over and made it all right without us making a comment! Can't say enough good! Thanks for a great experience!
I didn't have a great time here. The table we sat at rocked quite a bit so I had to fold a napkin up and put it under one of the feet. The door was open so it was very cold inside. It was really cramped, the waiter had to squeeze past our table every 60 seconds. It was very loud, to the point where I couldn't understand what my wife was trying to say to me. I watched countless to-go orders get made but it took us an hour from being seated to getting our food. The service was pretty minimal and we didn't feel very valued as customers. The food was pretty expensive for what it was. I got the steak fajitas and they were very uninspired. Basically just like what you would make at home for taco tuesday with one of those spice packets, despite costing a whopping $23. Heck, I could have made something way more flavorful in the same amount of time it took us to get our food. When the check came, it had a credit card surcharge listed on it. Really? The food was overpriced to begin with! But the real kicker is that the waiter didn't even ask how we were paying!2 stars because at least the food didn't taste bad per se
This place is great every time, regardless of what we order! Super consistent quality. My favorite dish so far is the Seared Salmon. WOW. If you don't mind a super loud enviromment while dining, definitely give this place a try!
Absolutely recommend! By some magic coincidence, I stopped by during happy hour on taco Tuesday! Despite being very busy, the service was quick and efficient! The classic margarita was delicious (and strong!), and if you're deciding whether or not to get the chorizo con queso- do it! Despite how busy they were, I never felt rushed, and yet the moment I finished a drink, someone came by immediately to offer me another one!Definitely adding this to my list of must-visit places next time I'm in the area!
Moving into #1 spot for best food on Park Avenue. Margaritas are also top tier. Dining area is a little small but only waited a short 10 minutes for the two of us to be seated. I ordered a cast iron enchilada with a flour tortilla which exceeded expectations.I will definitely be back
Ive been deciding to try this place for awhile but its always been super busy. This past Taco ? Tuesday (4/12) I decided to try it out since it was also beautiful weather. I was seated outside per my request immediately by staff. They were welcoming. My waiters were Andy and Deseray, Andy was training and he was very attentive and made sure I was good (Thanks) I ordered the house Margerita which was ok, wasnt very strong and I informed Andy, he suggested the Cadillac Margarita, The Cadillac had a better taste but also not that strong but it was delicious. I decided to get the trio with guac and salsa and chips, it wasnt much Guac that was given in the trio which was disappointing because I love Guac. I decided on a chicken and beef taco suggested by Deseray, both were filling. It was a good vibe, good customer service and good food. Ill give it another try at another time. Thanks Andy and Deseray.
My son who went to college in San Diego and then moved to Rochester for work told me that he had not found any good Mexican style food restaurants in town…… well now he’s eating his words! We had a family dinner in Dorado and it was brilliant. Great cocktails Excellent Mex food. Service was friendly and speedy. Totally recommend this place
Great food and drinks. Street tacos were really good and they had a good selection of drinks as well.It was full even for a Tuesday night. But seating was first come first served. Tuesday special was street tacos so we definitely went for that. No regrets, it was so good!
This place has an incredible staff! Great service! And are very very understanding. It is such a cool place in a great location. Add Dorado to the list of incredible bars/restaurants in our beautiful city of Rochester. Y'all Rock!
