Drive too fast on Monroe Ave you might miss it. Tucked away on Monroe and Oxford, this small venue packs a lot of flavor. With the focus on hotdogs, you can get a variety of hotdogs and toppings. The menu names the hotdogs after breeds of dog. For my most recent visit, I had the Caribbean Wild Dog which consists of sweet Jamaican relish, onions and cheddar cheese. The flavor combination of sweet and savory marry well together. Hotdog was hot and the bun was soft. Onion rings were crispy and hot; had to let them cool for a sec. With the warmer weather, there is an option to sit outdoors and enjoy your meal. Parking is also available.

I came up to Rochester for work and everyone told me I had to get a garbage plate and everyone said Dogtown had the best. I haven't had any other plates but I'll have to say that this was pretty good. Nice, quick service. Lots of parking and easy to get to.

This will be a for sure stop anytime I am in this area. My wife intoduced me to the garbage plate when we first got together & thats when I new it was real. All the greatest things on one plate, just doesn't get any better.

I had the golden doodle hot dog. Dog in a bun with creamy mac-n-cheese on top with loaded fries and a bottle of root beer. It was very filling for the $12 I spent on it. Worth every penny and will be sure to return many more times. The menu is very diverse so there is something for everyone.

The names of the food was adorable. Loved all the pictures of dogs all around the place. It was a little small in side but the food doesn't disappoint. Would recommend and will return when in Rochester again

We got veggie chihuahua, veggie coyote, split veggie plate as a take away.. service was fast .. it tasted yum ?

Nick Tahou’s is the original and only Garbage Plate. Anything else is a violation of the Trademark and a copycat.

Dogtown is the best spot for a tasty, cheap meal! Their specialty dogs are fantastic and creative. They also have delicious sandwiches, burgers and 'plates'.

Of course I love Dogtown. One good reason is that it's a great place to sample another version of the "Garbage Plate" while only Nick Tahous can use that name, many area restaurants have their own version of the plate. They use Zweigles hots, but also make burger plates, and have many other menu items, including a large Veggie menu. It is a small place, so save your crowd for good weather and outdoors seating, but don't let that keep you away from some very yummy well made food.

I split a garbage plate and had a great time. The dining space is very small so that’s something to consider if you plan to stay and eat. It’s a lot of food for low price, highly recommend.
