The quality of the food here is first rate! The online order system was easy to use and it's a favorite with our office
2 strikes you’re out. First visit waited 45 minutes for a sub that was never made. Until I asked, said order was lost. They made it then. Second visit today, received wrong order and realized it when opened it back at my office. Didn’t know I needed to match my ticket stub number the sub bag number before I leave. Fig'd that was already taken care of behind the counter. Paid for medium sub, got a small. Someone is happy today as they paid for a small and got a medium. This location is terrible. I give them a strike and 1/2 star for each visit. Never again.
Despite being one of two customers at the time, it took 15 minutes to get my sub. The food was alright, but not nearly as good as DiBella’s on Jefferson road.
Ordered two subs - both were very good. Delivery person was nice and professional. Would definitely order from DiBellas at Citygate again. Thanks for a delicious meal.
This was my first visit here & to be honest, it really went far above my expectations. Used to being ripped off by skimpy subs at other stores, even Wegmans, every location i tried in the past seems tight with their ingredients. I had a $15 gift card i needed to use gotten at my job so on my way home after work i decided to stop by and check it out. Ordered a large Italian sub and Antipasto salad. I was impressed immediately, the salad so fresh seemed like everything just picked out of the garden. The Italian sub was very delicious with sufficient ingredients to even satisfy my critical attitude for subs. The bread was crusty and moist, because the bread is what makes the sub.. Here, at Dibella's on E. Henrietta Road, I must admit, was very pleased. The workers were nice, but so engrossed in doing a good job making subs they forgot to ask me to pay. I could of walked out without paying but of course i would never do that so i had to remind them that i needed to pay. The girl seemed a little embarrassed that she forgot this, but while paying she needed help from another worker on how to let cash machine accept gift cards. After i was done paying, I walked out of the store with my bag of food and right away noticed it had some weight to it, which naturally made me feel happy (meaning that obviously there must have had enough ingredients i am always so concerned about). anyway, when i made it home finally and started eating the sub, I saw what it really looked like, so nice and scrumptious, enjoying eating what i could, then saving the other half to eat for lunch at work the next day. But to sum this review all up, I am definitely going to return again because the food was worth every penny & highly recommend!!
I love their subs. The inside is nicely designed and the service is good. I havent spent more than 2-8 ish minutes on the busiest days. Definitely worth a try, I just recommend looking at the sub options online for better idea of what they have
Go with your 2nd choice.I had the misfortune of choosing Dibella's for lunch the other day and wish I had just saved myself the disappointment and gone somewhere else. I ordered a tuna sub in person and declined to print a receipt thinking I was saving the planet and it's Dibella's- why would I need it? Come to find out the receipt is all they care about and when I called 3 times to say the tuna is awful/off/spoiled and I'd like a different sub, both managers' only comment was "do you have the receipt?" No apology, no interest in making it right, just 'prove it', as if I'm the one in the wrong. Thankfully sub shops are a dime-a-dozen in this city so Dibella's decline in quality & customer service is no great loss. M
Zero stars : Sam the manager doesn't understand the assignment of his managerial duties. He blames the loyal customers because his employee messes up sub orders and not once did he apologize /andor correct the issue instead he walks away rudely . Maybe the sub maker shouldn't have been watching the football game as he was making 4 steak subs. Then I wouldn't have had to drive back to get my sub corrected. However I did get an refund after not being able to get my sub remade. Sam you should practice what it takes to be an manager to make things right. The customer isn't always right but in this case I didn't make and mess up my own sub just so I can drive to this location twice. I was in the right. Not giving this location my money again because of the way I was treated at this location. Also, Sam was trying to cover up his name tag so I wouldn't leave this review. (Not what a manager does if his staff was right.I have contacted corporate for this issue that happened as well. This was my first review that Ive ever left for an establishment(this is how I know the experience was terrible). Acknowledge your wrong Apologize and Accept. This could've been an better outcome. Sam please learn how to deal with conflict and chaos you will go far as a manager if you do. Otherwise you will fail as you argue with costumers and lose your cool. From the looks of the reviews we are all unhappy with city gate location.
Ordered online showed up 2 minutes before my order was supposed to be done, but had to waoght 20 minutes because supposedly my order got stuck in the paper machine. About 12 people came an ordered there and got there sub before me. Had same bad experience at the East Ave location done with DiBellas
Dibella's has always been my favorite sub shop, however, in recent couple years it seems to have tanked. The last several times that I have ordered, it has been skimpy. I always order a large godfather, on everything bread with extra Swiss, lettuce, tomato, onion and banana peppers. They always forget something, charge for the extra cheese but it's never any different than regular amount of chees . Thought I'd give it another try today at the E. Henrietta Rd location, not only was it skimpy meat, but no extra cheese( that I paid for) and they forgot the banana peppers.I'm so disappointed. Looks like I've got to find a new sub shop that isn't an hour from home. :(
