I ate lunch here today, and it was amazing. Literally one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Although I should specify it is a pressed sandwich. I got this sandwich with shredded beef that had been cooked in some kind of almost sweet sauce, and the sandwich also has onions, tomato, and spinach. But the bread was perfect. It was thin and crunchy, like it should be, without ever being dry or too crumbly. Excellent flavor. And the side dish I got was shredded fried plantains. I've eaten so many fried plantains, but never shredded. And more should be, because these were perfectly crunchy, almost like a shoestring potato. And finally, the staff were so kind and professional, and felt very genuinely nice.All in all it was an excellent experience and I definitely recommend it.
Very authentic food. I have tried a few of their specials and their regular menu items. All of it is extremely tasty. The owners are really nice and friendly as well!

Ok, first, if you have a food allergy, they understand and sincerely respect it more than most.Then, the Tres Leches cake is beyond delicious. Homemade doesn’t even start to explain. It’s like stepping back in time to my grandmother’s kitchen.Reasonably priced, super friendly and yummy. It’s my new go to spot at 12 Corners!
I stopped into Carmen's Cooking this afternoon because I have read so many positive reviews - I have NEVER been treated with SUCH WARMTH at a restaurant. The family is kind and caring and clearly proud of this fantastic place. The food was delicious and flavorful and you could feel the love they put into it with every bite. What a wonderful place - I can’t wait to go back and support this amazing family.
Authentic Puerto Rican food. On my first day going for lunch I returned back the same day because the food is that delicious. I had the steak sandwich, the pernil sandwich, and the flan.The establishment is very clean, spacious and the owners and staff are so welcoming and friendly. I will continue to frequent this restaurant ?.
Best Cuban Sandwich I have ever had - and I have lived in Key West where, along with Tampa, they originated with the Cuban immigrants in the late 1800’s.
The first thing I noticed was the place is spotlessly clean. Not a single thing was out of place. The owners were on site and very friendly. Made us feel like family. The food was excellent. Each meal was prepared perfectly, served hot, and exceeded our expectations. You can tell when someone has pride and loves what they do, and Carmen is a perfect example of that. I found a new lunch option, and I highly recommend this place.
Every visit to Carmen's has been a positive and delicious experience! My food always comes quickly, the meat is tender, the sweet potato fries and arañas platanos are fantastic, and the staff are wonderful and attentive. Highly recommend!
