i recently ordered take out to try this place, and it turned out the ordering app was accidentally still available, but the person at the restaurant made my order anyway and then gave me the extra tofu because she happened to be in the kitchen when my order came it. this was very kind when it could have just been cancelled, and the food was very good! very fresh tasting noodles, veggie dumplings and a tofu banh mi. i look forward to going back when they are actually open and more fully staffed.

DO NOT go here. The owners are abusive to everyone surrounding them. I have watched them scream at police and the fire department on several occasions. Other business are far more deserving of your money than this poor excuse of an establishment and business owner. Also the food is bland and service is poor. Also put in a 15 minute parking enforcement for the whole block, cutting parking for city residents by 30%. All to be abused by the owner for their own parking

I am beyond appalled and disgusted with the way the owners of this restaurant choose to treat those in their community.I have witnessed them harassing and screaming at neighbors, throwing things and being completely belligerent towards neighbors and the police. They are constantly making illegitimate calls to the fire department, police and parking enforcement, creating perpetual issues for those that live near this business. They are not friendly, reasonable or approachable in any way, and have shown it on multiple occasions. In addition, I have seen rodents (rats, mice), garbage and vomit, numerous times around the façade of the building. There are a variety of courteous, community-oriented restaurants in the area that I would highly encourage others to take their hard-earned business, instead of Blue Taro.

The owner of this establishment verbally harassed me this weekend, and was on the boarder line of physical assault when he begin throwing various objects in my direction. When the police arrived, he refused to talk to them or give them a statement. 0/10 would not recommend giving this place your business. Based on the way this man treats people in his community, he does not deserve a dollar from anyone.

The owners are extremely rude and they are shut down from health code violations constantly. I've seen the kitchen door open along the side of the building with rats running all over multiple times.

Initially I wrote an unfavorable review because I ordered on UberEats and it took almost 2 hours to get here and broth for my noodles was forgotten, and then I read their reply to someone below apologizing for being understaffed. I've worked in restaurants before and I should have been more forgiving, especially in this hard time right now for everyone. We can only try our best, after all.Well, I put in another order and did emphasize to make sure the broth was included and this time, the order was timely and I got a really nice note from the restaurant apologizing for the prior incident. The food came timely and it was delicious (it was also delicious the first time as well). I hope this serves as a gentle reminder to be more understanding about the hardships that restaurants have faced these past couple of years. I'm really happy to find yummy Vietnamese food and will continue to be a customer. Thank you!

Great food, friendly service (even if your step son isn't personal friends with owner), and great price. Vietnamese food, and really good, but the name "Blue Taro" doesn't give that away. Be sure to have the sesame ball to finish the meal. Delicious and unique.

Ordered my food on line this past Wednesday night. Their website accepted my order. My credit card was charged. The system told me the order would be ready in 20 minutes. I drove over to pick up the order. THEY WERE CLOSED. This place is a joke. I have attempted to call them daily since to get my $41.00 refund. Never answer their phone. Short staffed due to COVID. More like they don’t have any idea on how to run a business.

The food tasted fresh and delicious. We got the tofu strips as an appetizer. Whatever sauce and veggie mix they put on top is amazing. We then shared some pancake looking thing and a noodle dish (sorry, 100% forgot the names). Both were pretty good! Unique. I also enjoyed a strawberry smoothie, made with real strawberries.

Delicious food, great vegan options, I just wish they were open more often. I would eat here at least 3 times a week if they were.
