Outstanding, as always! Great service.
oysters seemed really small. crab meat was water logged with no seasoning. the bread and butter was not as tasty as other restaurants. however, the ambiance and decorations were amazing.
We have come to love and expect excellent food from this restaurant. My wife and I love it here and can never go wrong with the steak and seafood. But our dinner tonight was an experience we will forever be grateful for. Our waiter, Justin, took care of us for our fifth anniversary beyond what we could have imagined and the food and experience was unforgettable. Thank you so much and we will certainly be back soon.
I had the Delmonico steak and requested it be cooked Pittsburgh style.. which it was and it was awesome! One of the most tender steaks I've had in a very long time! The decor is beautiful and the staff is amazing... never intrusive but always right there when you needed them! They were polished looking, friendly, and worked very well with each other! The dining areas were clean and easy to walk around! I can't say enough good things!
This was my 1st visit to Black & Blue in Rochester, and overall it was a very nice restaurant, with an attentive staff, great bartender, and great menu. Our server was Linda, and she was right on point, very attentive to our needs and ensuring that we were satisfied with our selections. Her assistant server was also very prompt and professional. The bartender made 1 of the best 7 & 7's I've had in a long time, tasting like a strong ginger ale - perfection. The entrees were plentiful and we were satisfied with everything we ordered.
We had a very good meal at Black & Blue! The decor and atmosphere are great, and you wouldn't expect that being in a strip mall! Our waiter was very knowledgeable about allergens and the menu, but a little over the top (too many jokes where I couldn't tell if he was serious or not). The drinks were very good and most of the food was very good. Our favorite things were the she crab soup, the tuna appetizer, and the sweet potato dumplings. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because I did not love my steak or side. Don't get me wrong the steak was pretty good, but for the price I was expecting it to be excellent and my side of mushrooms were very bland. I wish they also had a few more dairy free options.
The customer service was amazing. I loved the truffles at the end. The waiter was so informative. Food was fresh! I enjoyed the calamari, however I would've preferred that it wasn't so spicy. I love spice, don't get me wrong, but I like to have seasoning/sauce on the side. I got half a rack of lamb which came out perfectly. Red snapper was yummy and flavorful. My son wasn't too crazy about the blue crab (?? I can't remember if that was actual name) because it was shredded and seasoned. He thought it would be pieces of crab that he could eat with butter. The restaurant was clean and very elegant. Good spot for celebration (i.e. birthday)
Really nice and upscale place. You definitely need to have a reservation if you want to get in at a certain time. The food was amazing here. Everything is ala carte and is pricey. This is a great place to go for an anniversary or special occasion.
Perfectly cooked steak and a delectable dessert. We got the fondue, meatballs, and calamari as appetizers all of which were great. The fondue was heavy so take that into consideration when ordering. If there was any complaint it would be that the asparagus was thick and not done to my liking....good but if they were skinnier and done a little bit more it would have been great.
One of my favorite special occasion places…. The food was great, and the service fantastic!
