Stopped by here on our way home. Spent about 45$ Ordered a few burgers, chicken tenders, french fries and onion rings. Checked the bag before we left to make sure everything was there and it looked that way. We get home to find out they gave us buffalo chicken tenders for a three year old and four onion rings and the burgers were just slapped together half the bun was off the burger half was on and looked like the bun was smashed. Definitely not the worlds greatest cheese burgers anymore. Called the manager there they offered me a free replacement if i came back which is on the complete opposite side of the county a 30+ minute drive so i declined and then he offered me to write my name down on a book so i can get credit when i return. I decline both i would never return let alone drive 30 minutes away just to get ripped off again. 5$ for 4 onion rings aint worth it. Save your time and money go else where.
We go to this location often during baseball season and tonight was by far the worst experience we have had eating out in a long time. We sat in the dining area. The server came up and took our drink order- she requested us to repeat ourselves a few times as she seemed confused and then she mentioned it was her first day- fine no big deal. From that point on, not a single food order for our party of 5 was correct. We order boneless wings as an appetizer and received regular wings. We ordered slushies with our kids meal, never received them. I ordered a garbage plate with just meat sauce, it came out plain. Another ordered a mushroom swiss burger with BBQ sauce and it came out with ketchup, mustard, onion and meat sauce but the worst was my husband who ordered a garbage plate with everything except relish. It obviously came out swimming in relish. We had eaten the regular wings without making a big deal and to be honest there were so many things wrong we only corrected some because we felt bad but the plate he sent back. After waiting a half hour for the remake of the plate he finally questioned where the plate was and also asked where her trainers were- she just kept saying it was her first day and she didn't have trainers. It was already close to an hour and half since we sat down so he just asked her to have the plate boxed up and he would take it home. She proceeded to bring him out an EMPTY to-go box! At that point he couldn't take it anymore and asked for it to be removed from the check. The worst thing was the other servers who I assume should be helping her if it was in fact her very first day acted like they didn't know anything about what was going on. A manager, if there even was one, never came over. I don't really blame her other than she was very nonchalant about so many things being wrong but they definitely shouldn't have a brand new server out on the floor on her own without another server at least checking on the tables at some point. It was just terrible. Unfortunately we will go somewhere else from now on.
Still the one if the best cheeseburgers in Rochester. Great location too! The bar was a really great addition. I go there on the weekends all the time in the summer. With COVID and all I understand difficulties in maintaince... but, they really need to a contractor in there soon. There are decaying pillars, cracking countertops and a leaking ice machine spraying water into the ordering area. But, the bar is still looks great! I'd stick to eating in there and bypass all that for the time being.
Bill Grays was a very relaxing place to eat, place was very clean, the menu has so much for what you wanted to order and the food was very good.
Great burger and fish, but coleslaw lacked something. The service was quick and friendly.
Always a winner. You can get similar food in many places around town, and even walking distance from this place. Why in the world a person would do such a thing is beyond me, but you could. The difference has a lot to do with presentation. Bill Gray's is CLEAN. It looks clean. It smells clean. The lights are bright : they don't need to hide anything. And the food is so good. It feels naughty it's so good. Those fried mushrooms? Pretty sure whoever "Bill Gray" was sold his soul to the devil for that cheeseburger and those fried mushrooms recipes. What man. Suffering eternal damnation, just some can eat ground steak patties and battered fungi dipped in Bleu cheese.American hero. If there was really ever a Bill, he needs a Holiday.
Service was terrific, Colleen was our server. menu is limited to burgers, fries, and chicken sandwiches. Garbage plates, et there too, but nothing I would consider a healthy option.
We have ordered fish and chips. It was a huge serving so 2 people shared it. A large portion of fish with chips tartar sauce and coleslaw. A very fulfilling and nice meal. We have sat outside so the views were amazing too.We would love to go there again.
Bill Gray's Seabreeze never disappoints when it comes to good food, reasonable prices and great service. Twice we had a large drop-in gathering for high school alumni. Each time there were 20+ people. We called earlier in the week to let them know we were coming. They were ready each time. Imagine people coming and going at different times, most preferring to stand and chat over sitting at our designated area. Some sat at the bar too. Everyone enjoyed their food. Some chose just to drink. Not a single order was mixed up, to my knowledge. The staff was very accommodating. Our waitress, Victoria, was stellar. Imagine all those separate checks! I hope my group tipped her very well. I'm sure you won't be disappointed when you visit.
Great time and meal every time. An awesome addition to any trip to seabreeze. So many choices, quick service, and options to either have take out or sit down.
