I ordered steak and a burger for take out, got home and it was raw. Not rare but raw. So unfortunately, I couldn’t send it back or call back to get a new one since they shortly closed after I picked up my order. I was disappointed but Glyn the General manager called me the next day to quickly make it right. I was shocked he called me, and took the situation as a learning experience to better his team. That was pretty honorable and I’ll be back.
Food was good, service a little slow but staff very friendly.
I regularly come here to celebrate birthdays with my family and we always have a great time. The food and drinks are great, and we’ve always had incredible service. The last few months it has gotten busier due to short staffing, but I have no complaints. The extra few minutes of waiting is worth it when you have friendly, helpful staff.
Worst restaurant experience ever. Wish I could give 0 stars. Had to walk out of the place after waiting for my food for 2 hours and getting nothing but excuse after excuse. From the start we had a new waitress who had to keep coming back to confirm our order because she forgot to ask first time around, or ordering drinks and the waitress forgetting to give us any straws. After about an hour of waiting for our order, we started getting excuses instead of food. First it was the kitchen that was very backed up that night. 15 min later there was a computer error and our order was now priority, another 15 min later manager informed us that there was an accident in the kitchen. At that point we got up and left the restaurant. OH and did I mention I was there with 4 kids one of whom is a 5 year old. Thank God for nearby McDonald's and their 10 min service. Never going to this Applebee's again. Worst place I ever been to.
The fire alarm went off during our dinner. Apparently someone had burned plastic in a microwave. The man who was in charge said several times that the fire department tells him to evacuate the building when this happens. They did not do this. Nor did they explain what was happening and we only heard through over hearing conversations. For several minutes the lights flashed and the sirens went off. Then firefighters entered the building to check if everything was okay. It smelled of burnt plastic. People were rushing around everywhere. I do not feel like they handled this well. I did not feel safe. And they should of been doing more. They never spoke up to apologize or to explain the situation. They also did not compensate us for having to go through this. The manager mentioned making food in the fryers that were off for safety reasons from the fire alarm. That since they should still be hot that that was somehow acceptable and fully up to standards. The waiter also called the microwave their “cook”. I do not think the customer service was good by any means and I have never had something like this happen before. Nor have I ever felt that concerned for my own safety but others while at a restaurant
Applebee's on West Henrietta road in Rochester NY is an excellent dining experience with menu choices that will fit almost any appetite. You probably know this already. At the same time, for an extra really cool experience you might have an opportunity to stop in after the Lunch Munching Crowd and slip into a quiet booth after One O'clock. This is a time when the lunch crowd is back to work. It seems the Bartender is making jokes and the host s moving around the dinning area to be certaineverything is perfect. Your waiter is just about you making sure your meal is on the way and your coffee is fresh. Oh my, it is just about as good as it can get. This is a time it seems you have to experience to believe. From my corner booth near the bar, it was easy to see at least four flat screens on Sport channels. Most of the reports focused on a possible trade of Tyreek Hill from KC to perhaps the Jets or the Dolphins. Wonder how that is going to work out? Maybe Tyreek is pushing KC for a better contract. Anyway, enjoy your meal, relax and give the second half of your day a really great start.
Worst dining experience ever!!!!! Waitress was the ONLY good thing. Food was disgusting!!!! Hostess was rude and on her phone the entire time we were there. And I know this because we were seated right behind the hostess station. I feel sorry for the manager of this establishment. They are not adequately staffed to service a full dining room. This location needs to cut back on their maximum capacity to adequately serve their customers.
Great place and good service. The chicken Alfredo I had last time looked better than it tasted but the burgers I've had here were always great.
Service was good, food not so much... chicken nachos was missing chicken.. fish and fries, fish was under cooked.. not going back...
Good food, great service! Can't go wrong at ??'s, especially with their 2 for $20 menu. If you haven't ordered from the 2 for $20 menu, check it out at your next visit.
