This is the original submarine shop in Rochester. It is local, and has never disappointed me. Delicious!
Amiel's subs are, by far, the very best! Bread is baked throughout the day. They will even butter-toast it for! A huge variety of chips, whole dill pickles, bottled and fountain drinks are available.Eating in is like stepping back into the 50s, with shiny red booths and stools, black and white tiled floors, and tin ceilings.Try Amiel's. You'll love it!
Tried 2 small sandwiches. Both with beef. The first was a round sandwich called the Amiel. This one I has the cheddar sauce on. The beef was obviously real beef but was extremely dry making it tough to swallow. The cheese sauce was bland. The 2nd sandwich was a beef and swiss small sub. This one the beef was not the same as the other. The beef was more like the fake presses Arby’s style but at least it wasnt dry. The bread was super soft and wonderful but the sandwich had no flavor even with the anjus. Both sandwiches were a disappointment given the reputation for a great sandwich so cannot recommend. This is a 2 star quality that pricing got it an extra star
Ordered a sub online and was 30min late picking up do to work issue. Once sub was picked up I returned to work only to find that most of the condiments where not on sandwich...so needless to say I'm not a happy camper..
Best roast beef sub I've ever had. The bread is so soft and that butter toasting - Mmmm-mmmm. Try it with the horseradish mayo!
Bread is awesome! Chicken salad is the best ever!! I live a distance away so every time I come to Henrietta I always stop for a sub to go!
The smoked turkey + roast beef sub with all the toppings is great! Just thinking about the spicy peppers makes me hungry. Love the old fashioned interior as well. Great vibes and good staff.
My favorite is small seafood on seeded roll. Because of the pandemic, Ihave had to check the website to make sure they have seafood in stock.
I had the worst experience here. The kid making my Italian assorted, was talking and wound up putting tuna on my Italian..... really.. I wanted 2 Italian assorted subs. But when it took almost 30mins to get 1 right. I decided to just go with that. And still paid $12 & change for 1 sub. And NO was not extra meat on it. If anything it was short of normal meat.. he took 2 pieces of cap and ripped 1 in half to cover sammie ? when I mentioned it, he said oh I'll do 1 more slice if you wanna pay for dbl meat.. seriously... -stars from me..
I typically go to the one in Victor and I love that one. I was in the area so I ordered about $60 worth of food for the family and it was TERRIBLE! I don't write reviews often, but I had to say something. There was pretty much nothing on our subs and half of my sub seemed like it was just dipped in water. It was so soggy. If you want to try their food, take the trip to Victor. Idk if I'll even go to that one either anymore. I'll stick with Wegmans.
