Marinated Porterhouse...an excellent choice

I ordered the 6oz filet, marinated, with a salad/sweet potato fries. I can honestly say that this was one of The Best filets I have ever had. Perfectly charcoaled on the outside and cooked exactly as ordered. The flavor was phenomenal and I so wanted to go back the next night. My husband won out on restaurant choice. Our waitress was a little rushed taking care of us, but she was also a bit overwhelmed taking care of everyone. Lack of wait staff due to Covid. We made our way to the bar for a drink and she was able to stand and chat for a bit since things a quieted a bit. Great woman...wish I had gotten her name. Definately going back next trip to Riverhead.
We came at 8:30 pm bartender sat us. Rushed us for our orders. Then kept asking if we were done. Food was ok if what we ate. Wrapped the rest and left.
The best steak literally EVER!!
I've been going to Rendezvous and the Elbow Rooms for 50 years.fry. When I'm in the area I always look forward to their marinate steak and shoe string frys. Steak was okay and they switched to the thicker frys. Not the consistently good meal that was always there. My real problem was the convince fee charged to my credit card.
Came here for some late night eats and a few pops. The bar area was busy but I managed to squeeze in and grab a beer. I had a bowl of the Manhattan Clam Chowder and it was very good. Followed up with a half dozen wings and it was satisfying. The bar conversation was a trip as this is a local's place and the locals were out!My bartender, Jeff, kept the drinks flowing and the locals from questioning me too much! All in all, a fun evening.

Good was good, bar service quick. They are suffering like other businesses with lack of staff, so service a bit slow, but worth the wait! Steak was excellent, especially with the gorgonzola topping!
