Typical hotel restaurant. Somewhat restricted menu. Waiter was pleasant but overall service was a little slow. My wife and I each ordered a glass of wine at the same time we ordered our dinner and our shared salad came out before the wine. It was a pleasant dinner but I wouldnât tell people itâs a âmust visitâ restaurant.
We were staying at the hotel indigo for two nights and eat at the restaurant both nights because our first night the dinner was outstanding the fillet was cooked perfectly with a great wine reduction sauce. Then the second night we had tacos and everything was great!
Itâs such a nice place. The service is good and the food is average. We come back at least once a year because itâs a great place with live music and a good wine list.
Went for my friendâs birthday and we enjoyed most of the food. I ordered the crab cakes to start. I felt like they tasted frozen and reheated. They probably werenât but I like crabcakes to be lump crab as stated in the menu. This was just a big mush cake. There was no chunks of crab that I could see. It tasted like a frozen dinner crabcake. For dinner I ordered the pan seared salmon with white beans, spinach and kale and it was quite good. I donât usually order salmon because itâs never cooked right. This was cooked perfectly end it was tasty. My friend ordered the avocado mash appetizer with tortilla chips which was made with fresh avocado and she said it was delicious. For dinner she ordered the spicy penne vodka with shrimp and lobster..she said that was great too. I ordered the raspberry lemon martini and it wasnât cold As a martini should be. In fact it was lukewarm. It was OK as far as flavor. My friend ordered the rum punch and she liked it a lot. Our waiter was super nice. He made our night a pleasure.
Great food and service. They had some life music too.
At first when we walked into the dining room and pool area, honestly we were thinking we weren't sure if we made the right decision to try Bistro 72. I think if we went when it was later in the evening, there would have been a different vibe as there was a really nice outdoor fireplace and seating areas outside...that being said - the service and food was excellent. My Branzino and crab cakes were delish and my husband's cord mussels and lamb shank was also very good. Desserts were also good. I'm very glad we decided to stay and enjoy an excellent dinner!
Bistro 72 has one of the best semi outdoor dining areas on Long Island. The food is of a high standard, service is good and friendly and the prices are very reasonable - Happy Hour is extremely good. The Tuna Tartare, which was ample, was very good quality and well presented. The only negative was that there should be more aoli to help the ginger to build deeper tastes - something easily remedied .The mussels were extremely good with a very aromatic and tasty white wine based broth and full marks for good well toasted bread with it. Fish and chips was a substantial portion of excellent Fluke in a beer batter which was perfectly cooked through and very crisp, They often have live music - the bar scene is busy and the indoor restaurant area is well appointed. This has been one of our favorite restaurants for years and is very consistently good.
Sunday brunch - excellent ambiance and food
Always amazing! Pasta is homemade and fish and burgers always prepared perfectly
Impressive in every way! We ate outside on the patio for dinner. Nice and calm. Not noisy. Great service. Food was upscale, fresh, delicious and beautifully served and presented. Just a delight all the way around!
