Second time visiting and have not been disappointed. The food is delicious and reasonably priced and there are lots of cool gifts and items in the store. Be prepared for a bit of a wait but it's worth it.
Food was delicious. Had to wait about 40 minutes - would recommend calling ahead if possible. No place to really wait in the building, just kinda wander around the gift shop for 40 minutes.
At first glance I thought this was gonna be like a privately owned cracker barrel- It exceeded every expectation. Fast, friendly, delicious cleanly, this place is worth traveling to regardless of all the crossroads that travel through this region of NY. Johanna immediately greeted us and presented us with what was potentially the friendliest, absolute homie-style service I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. I felt like I was coming to a family reunion (in a good way…) the way they treated myself and my party while dining here. Also shoutout to Carole for being a star example of how table service should be enacted.FAIR WORD OF WARNING:The. Portions. Are. Gigantic. (and it’s pretty awesome)I’m not one for gift shops but when giving it a quick browse things seemed less like a novelty shop and more of a well-curated “something for everyone” kind of gift store and I respected their kind staff and plentiful selections.10/10 Unequivocally bussin’
We absolutely enjoyed our experience at The Silo! While you wait to be seated, you can enjoy some time shopping in that big gift shop! The products are original unlike that we usually see everywhere else. The service was impeccable! The prices are reasonable! The food was so yummy! Would DEFINITELY go again if we are to pass in Queensbury on our next trip to the US!
All 4 of us like what we ordered and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely go back next time I'm in the area. *Pick up some of their donuts on the way out!
Lots of good comfort food served by a great wait staff. Kicking around the store while waiting for a table is a trea - fun cards, interesting earrings, and delicious donuts.
I usually have a fantastic experience at this restaurant, but this morning I waited 50 minutes for my breakfast. The two people before us got their breakfast and the three people after us got their breakfast before we got our breakfast. They weren’t even that busy. I don’t understand what happened they didn’t give us any explanation either it’s too bad. I’m not sure if they were short staffed or what the problem was…
This restaurant is a must for breakfast or lunch when in the area. The food was great, the portions are large. You definitely won’t leave hungry. The store is nice as well, the smell of the fresh donuts when you walk in is amazing. The only downside is that since it’s such a good place you may have a wait…but it’s worth it.
The Silo has had the best donuts for YEARS!! Kimmi and her kitchen staff are AMAZING!!
The Silo Has some amazing food as well as service. When you come and decide to get pancakes make sure you have a family of seven or you don’t have a chance at finishing two. While the size may be great the food doesn’t lack either. In the entrance you are greeted with a fresh aroma of cider donuts and it brings tears of joy to your eyes. On the topic of cider donuts get the French toast cider donut things. About the most well executed and unique dish I’ve ever had. Every breakfast place should have these cider French toast things. Go here or regret it for the rest of your life
