There’s nothing like a good ole White Castle cheeseburger! I do it once a month.This one is in a safe and good location with free parking. Great for seniors because they’re small, soft and tasty. Make sure you ask to put everything on it. Your parents or grandparents will love you for it and add you on their will. ?
The last time I ate in this White Castle was in 1959. On Google, it still looks like the same place, on Bell Blvd. and Northern Blvd. Back then, I think a hamburger was 11 cents and it had hardly any bun, hardly any meat, the patty had nine holes in it, there were a few fried onions and it was delicious. I used to order 15 burgers for lunch. Now I live in California but if I visited NY I would head straight to White Castle for a taste. What does a burger cost nowadays in 2022?

The White castles were delicious and fresh and excellent. Their fries were moist and/or crispy and very tasty. The drive-thru is a bit long but it was okay. I will go again, though because it's White Castle it's going to be a while.
Tonight, the sliders have changed from all the previous times. Buns not steamed,no or very small amount of ketchup, meat was not what I have remembered. Very disappointed and shocked about the quality and the quantity of the meat and the preparation of the meal. The cost has continued to go up and the quantity has now hit the bottom of the bucket. It is a shame that a one time family favorite but I will not return. Will miss the good old belly bombers of my childhood.
A trip to NYC is not complete without some White Castle burgers. I bought a 30 count box for myself and the person I was visiting. What we did not eat, we brought back to his sons, who did not understand the allure of the white castle burgers, but ate them all none the less.
By far the worst fast food place I've ever been to.... Waited in front of the speaker for about 12 minutes til I can just order, and another 10 for food... Worst experience I've ever been through, and it is like that every single time I go... Sad...
So I have to share this. If you are a fast food place breakfast eater, I suggest you try white castle. The egg sandwiches are actually made with a fresh egg taken out of the fridge and crack on the grill. Not a frozen egg puck defrosted in a microwave or an egg mix poured out of a carton like the other fast food places. This is like I made it at home. I kid you not. I've known this for 20 years and it still surprises me. Plus the sandwich is made on the soft burger mini rolls or even a maple syrup waffle. It is a must try if you like fresh made eggs on your sandwich.
A bit too much COVID precaution here, and I am definitely not a COVID denier. The plexiglass at the counter is overkill, and the employee taking orders can't hear anyone. (I believe CDC said plexiglass barriers don't work.) Dining area and restrooms still closed on 12/3/2021. I suspect the closed areas are management's laziness, to avoid paying for the work of cleaning.
Great for a quick snack....love the chicken rings with honey mustard...the reg burgers and their plant-based burger (impossible) is really good.
