I ordered the chili wontons since I heard about them on tik tok. They tasted good, however I don't see the hyped around it. There is no indoor or outdoor seating available which sucks because this isn't a quick bite meal. Me and my friend attempt to go to the park, which is located steps away. However, there were homeless people sitting on majority of the benches. I recommend going to New world mall's food court.
No frills takeaway only(may have limited seating once restrictions are lifted) . They know why you're here and almost immediately fire up the number 6. Wontons in hot oil. Delicious, plump, meaty and the more you eat the more the flavors build on your palate. The crispies on the bottom are pure umami. A must on a food crawl through flushing.
Take-out only. Got the #6 that everyone recommends, which are the soup-less wontons with chili oil. Currently $9 for 12 wontons, cash-only. I got my order quickly and the wontons were hot and fresh, and the portion filling, but I found the flavor to be too salty and not spicy. I thought they’d be spicy given the chili oil and naming, but it was mostly just salt and oil. Therefore docking one star because it didn’t really live up to the description.Since there is no indoor or outdoor seating, I recommend you go to the small park nearby or one of the communal food courts on Roosevelt.
I live in redhook Brooklyn and was in the area and had to stop by white bear. Got the wontons and they was delicious. Just perfect I will be stopping by again
Definitely a go-to spot in flushing, we recommend getting #6!! It was very flavorful and the sauce was spicy yet soothing on my taste buds. I ended up trying their noodles and they were quite a pleasant surprise. Very tasty and great value for your money. Slight wait in the cold but 10/10 worth the eight minute wait.
very good, no frills wontons in chili oil. good wrap to stuffing ratio, the only thing was i wish the chili oil was more spicy, but other than really good
The #6 Spicy Wontons are so good and filling! They come in 12 pieces with scallions and chili oil. Kinda sad that the prices are going up, used to be around $6 but now it’s $9 due to the pandemic. It’s a hole in the wall, but well known by the foodies in Flushing. The owners there are friendly even if English isn’t their first language!
The stories of this place is true, amazing #6 wontons with the chili sauce. Pro tip is it not spicy at all , but you need it for all the yummy flavors.
They were really great dumplings with the chili oil! However, for me they were a bit too salty because of the topping. HOWEVER, I'm not a huge salt lover and my brother loved them. Cash only and no dine when I went. We may waited like 8 minutes at the most.
This place has been operating in the same Flushing location for more than 25 years. The taste has NOT changed! The filling in the dumplings are still as much as when I was recommended to this place some 20 years ago. The only thing that has changed are the prices of the dumplings. ??
