Decent bagel. But the bagel itself was cold (don’t like mine toasted) and the texture was not as fluffy as I’m used to. Good spot for a grab & go bagel from the G train though.
This place is really overpriced. I agree with many previous reviews, only survives since no other bagel shop within blocks.Stopped by on the way to work.Plain flat bagel with creamcheese. $6.26 yikes. The closest bagel shop bricktown bagels is $4 for the same item.
COCKROACH IN MY DRINK. Absolutely disgusting!!!! I was drinking my iced coffee for at least 30 mins when I got to the bottom and found a cockroach in my drink. I’m mortified. Do not eat at this DISGUSTING and UNSANITARY PLACE. Especially since they are overpriced and this is the quality that they are providing. If you care about your health please do not eat here. Plenty of other places in LIC to get bagels without a side of bugs.
This place is consistently terrible at preparing a well balanced and put together bagel. The lack of care and elegance in spreading the cream cheese and toppings on the bagel is ridiculous. The staff just doesn’t get it, I think they need to be trained better. Spread wise, there is either way too much, not enough or just poorly/unevenly slapped on. We live very close and have stopped by so many times hoping it would get better but we are now just done with it and will walk a bit farther for a better quality bagel.Read the reviews and implement changes!
If you are a potential business owner looking to get into the LIC bagel scene, please use this review as a sign that we need you!I am convinced that We Bagel survives based on demand alone. Their bagels are average, although I've realized that the "everything" bagel is just sesame and poppy seeds. The prices are insulting for such an average New York bagel that barely competes with a Bodega. But most infuriating is the inconsistency in bagel assembly. One week the spread is globbed on in excess, making it uncomfortable to eat. Today the spread was almost non existent, making it dry. And the term spread, ya know like cream cheese or butter, implies the physical act of evenly applying across the interior surface area of the bagel. Nope, not at We Bagel. Your spread will be unevenly plopped onto the bagel in haste. This establishment has so much potential, and as a local I am rooting for it to improve. I find myself ordering from We Bagel less and less but each time kick myself for it.They get a star for having a nice variety of spreads, sandwiches, juices. It's good to have options. Please just focus on your execution.
Absolutely some of the best bagels. Usually always fresh and hot. The bagels arent hard they are soft. Of course you can toast them to crisp up.The wait is always long. If you just want a dozen bagels you have to wait in line for egg sandwiches and everything else even tough any one behind the counter can throw bagels in a bag. Also I love coffee but theres is ok. And apparently if you ask for milk and sugar it comes black. Happened twice so it's a trend. But like I said I love the bagels
Tried the meat lovers omelette and a couple different bagels. Omelette was good though a tad too salty. Bagels are huge and they put on plentiful spread. Food prep was fast and the staff generally friendly/attentive. Wouldn’t mind returning if in the area.
Decent bagels but horrible coffee. Deceptive on pricing they don't post the prices on the menu board. 9$ for a breakfast sandwich really? Small seating area with a charging station that you are not allowed to use and insist on 20 minutes to sit down even when no customers in the limited sitting area. Many nicer and economical alternatives two blocks away on Jackson avenue.
Bagels are fine although the quantity of spread they put is on the lower side compared to other bagel shops I've been. One of the staff there (the owner?) is super rude everytime I go. Not just to me, to other customers too. Not sure what's wrong with him.
Delicious Bagels. One of the best Everything's I've ever had. And they have black and white cookies!
