This corner store was amazing!! I mean if you are craving savory affordable Guyanese food, this is the spot. Everything was super flavorful as if they marinated the meats and their food for over 24hrs. It's a small shop but trust me, the food is great. Especially for the price you are getting a lot. we loveee the red chicken, it's our favorite and the chicken fried rice is our go to, they have veggie fried rice too if you're vegan or vegetarian, but if you aren't, I highly recommend trying that red chicken. Super good.

I’ve seen comments from several people commenting on how the staff were rude and the few times I have been there, my experience has been the same. I always order the same thing but have noticed that I get overcharged each time. There was one instance the person in front of me ordered the same thing and when it was my turn to pay, the lady at the front charged me extra despite the prices being listed on the window. I didn’t say anything but kept that in mind.I understand working with customers can get pretty hectic and stressful but there’s a level of professionalism staff must have at all times. I have not seen it here.
First time at this place, the food might be nice but the cashier not so much, It would be nice to have your money placed in your hand instead of on the table with no words said after seeing the cashier place money in the last customer’s handThis is as of 04/22/22
I was there yesterday evening, place was cleaned and the service was great, the food was delicious, especially the duck curry and the dhal puri was very soft and nice also the pouchownie ( sorry If I spelled it wrong ) was nice and tasty, keep up with the good tasting foods, I would definitely come back to this place again when ever I visit New York.
So far the food that I have gotten from here has been good tasty but like many others have said the staff is very rude to customers. What's more upsetting to me is that the price and the food portion are not consistent seems like every cashier charged different prices and every server give you different portions. They need to be more uniform with their prices and portions.

the foods is so yummy love it
One of the servers(it seemed she was the manager) had her mask under her chin. She was talking the most..providing instructions to the other servers..all this was being done over the food without a mask. The other servers were wearing their mask, one of them (a guy) asked her to pull up her mask..but she refused. I will never visit this establishment again.
