I had such a great time! The drinks were amazing, the ambience was just right- a good mix between sexy and comfort. The staff is wonderful, everyone is very attentive and truly makes you feel welcomed. Special shout-out to Lucas. He is truly first class.
Tuesday all day Happy Hour is great. Vibe and decor is very nice and friendly staff. Old Fashioned were delish!!

The minute I walked in, Lucas - the manager, asked me for my name and greeted us with a ton of hospitality. Considering it's my first time here, he asked if we wanted to be guided through to a preferred seat of our liking, which we never get anywhere else and of course obliged. Once we sit down we're greeted by a great bartender and get right into the laughs and chill vibes. 100 percent recommend anyone wanting a great drink with good music, live as well - and amazing ambiance. You're welcome.
Came here on a whim and was surprised at the level of service as well as the drinks. The drinks were creative and well balanced and they used great quality ingredients. I could tell after meeting Lucas, why this place was well managed. He was so hospitable and let me know everything that was made in house and it explained why the drinks tasted so on point. The last word drink was my favorite drink of the night out of the four although they were all great. I’ll have to come back and try their food. Great local spot.
I never write reviews but for this place I had to! I had my birthday here with 30 of my family and friends and Lucas the manager went out of his way to make sure we were all genuinely having a good time! Lucas the manager and Jarad the server through out the entire night went up to every single person at my party and made sure they were getting their drinks in a timely manner and that no one had any concerns and accommodated us from start to finish! Lucas is a good friend of mine but aside from that he’s the perfect person to work in this industry and that’s why we continue to come here! Great energy and very hospitable all my friends and family loved him and consider him a friend now as well. Contact him for any events you would like to host here he will not disappoint! We’ll be celebrating another 2 birthdays there this weekend with another 30 of our friends because of him, Thank you Lucas!!
I’ve been to this place about 5 years ago for the first time, it was a speakeasy and tonight I went again, it’s not a speakeasy anymore but it for sure kept the beauty and the charms. I was astounded that this kind of a place can be found in Astoria. They have live music most of the nights, I’ve had their coffee martini which was sweeter than regular espresso martini, and I loved it. Manager Lucas is super friendly. When in Astoria must see!
ALL THE STARS! GIVE THIS PLACE ALL THE STARS! The start of an epic night with a great friend began on Monday night. We had planned to meet at THE LAST WORD to grab a drink before dinner with more friends in the city. I arrived at the agreed upon time only to discover the door was locked and the bar is closed on Mondays. As I was patiently waiting for my friend to arrive so we could select another local bar, I hear the locks clicking and the manager(?) Lucas appears. He is there working and sees me outside waiting in the (very slight) cold. I tell him that that we had mistakenly agreed to meet there only to discover it was closed. He immediately says, "No problem. Come on in. I can't make all the cocktails, but if you're here for wine, beer or a simple mixed drink, I'll hook you up." I'm shocked. Who does this? I'll tell you who: Lucas at THE LAST WORD in Astoria. He made us fantastic tequila cocktails, played our music requests, and was just an all around amazing human. We only had time for one drink before we had to head out for dinner, but we would have stayed all night and Lucas would have let us. We had the entire bar to ourselves, and Lucas just attended to his work while we caught up and had a great conversation. He couldn't run a card but we happily paid in cash. It was one of those things that could only happen in NYC when the stars align. I rarely post reviews, but this was one special night (and the night truly turned out to be epic) and it started with the kindness of a stranger who is now a friend. Let's all try to be more like Lucas. Go see him at THE LAST WORD and tell him that Steve and Alejandro sent you..... but just remember they are closed on Mondays ;-)
This place is beyond amazing! Drinks are fantastic ??! Service here is top notch! We were seated immediately by Jessica super friendly and helpful! Our server Kathleen was amazing - lots of great suggestions that matched exactly what we we’re looking for. I had the Coffee Martini & My girl had a Hibiscus Ginger usually a mocktail but she spiked it for us Bourbon - so good! Also Lucas the GM was really great to us and made sure everyone around us was well taken care of! 100% coming back and highly recommend their happy hour menu !
Great vibe and really nice people! Ended up staying for an extra round of drinks because of how much we were enjoying this spot! Speakeasy vibe and cocktail bar. I got a Irish Joe without whipped cream and it was so good, then I got a coffee martini which was delicious as well. My boyfriend got the apple old fashioned drink and really liked it. It’s on the sweeter side bc of the apple which was a really nice touch. He also got a coffee martini which is just like an espresso martini. Definitely recommend this place! Will definitely be back soon!
