It was my first time trying ramen. Restaurant is tiny wait time to eat was about 15 minutes. Once we sat down we order our drinks appetizers and main dish. The experience just felt rushed. They literally have like 10 tables and rush you out to the point that my boyfriend and i both ordered gyoza and he order chicken and i ordered shrimp, he allergic to shrimp and ended up eating one of mine because it was mixed. The ramen noodles were a bit hard again taste was okay. Don’t think i would revisit.
Tamashi closes at 11pm. We walked in at 10:23 and hostess/waitress informed us they stop seating at 10:20 and they only do take out...HOWEVER there is no sign indicating this. I said we dont need menus and are regulars so we know what we want can you make an exception? She insisted no... so we left. I called to speak to the manager and the same girl who denied us service answered the phone and "had no idea who the manager is or where they were or how they could be reached" she asked me to leave my name and number and i refused....we will not be going back. PUT UP A SIGN AND BE MORE CLEAR!
I have been to Tamashii a good amount of times now. Consistently great dishes. GREAT place for a quick dinner. Though I haven’t tired much of the menu myself (pork broth in almost everything I wanna try), my friends liked all the different dishes I saw them order since they opened. Would recommend the potato croquettes and seafood ramen options. Curry ramen has been a favorite among my friends. We also tried couple other vegetarian dishes and appetizers. Always good service and food. Like the consistency ? would LOVE it if they cater to people who can’t eat pork!
Came here two weeks after they opened and couldn’t wait to come back ! Service is consistently amazing, Sapporo on draft, excellent Sake selection and seriously the BEST ramen I’ve ever had (my friend and I have tried highly rated ramen spots all over NYC and Westchester and believe me when I say this is the absolute BEST). So far we have tried the Kani salad, Takoyaki, Shrimp buns, and Kira Miso ramen - ALL excellent. And the best hand pulled noodles!!! Love this place !
First they do a beautiful decoration. This place is so nice and cozy . I ordered shoyu ramen +charyu pork (charyu so good)You should to ask for Kara sauce if you are spicy Lover. It’s going very well with ramen. Service is great!! Highly recommend this place.
Service was excellent, they were very quick and nice. The ramen was delicious! They don’t have tofu in ramen for vegetarians but it was still so good. They also have peach sparkling sake that I highly recommend!
Hubby and I came here for lunch while making plans about where to eat. I can't believe choosing a place to eat is so challenging these days. Suddenly we saw this place and a parking spot in front of it so why not come here. With big smiles, we were greeted by friendly waitresses. We ordered taco wasabi, okonomiyaki, Ika karage for appetizers. Then Hubby ordered dumpling soup and spicy vegetable ramen with seafood for me! Of all the dishes, the not-so-authentic word was Ika Kara-age, or fried squid. The flour they use is a bit different than the typical taste of the Ika kara-age. I've had this plenty over the years at Japanese restaurants; therefore, I could tell the difference. We liked the taco wasabi and plan to order this again next time but will order for each instead of sharing it with Hubby. What's mine is mine. What's his is mine! Yay! The Okonomiyaki or fish flakes were delicious. I liked watching it more than eating it. They moved a lot! I enjoyed my spicy ramen, and Hubby enjoyed his dumpling soup. Why not try this place for a change if you want to try some ramen? Our waitress was happy working. All of them looked happy. It must be the ramen! Yummy!
If you don't know about Tamashii Ramen. Where have you been? It's the ramen I judge others on. This is my base standard. Great variety of starters, that makes this a place a go to for beginners. Great ramen base to make lifelong fans.
I always go here for ramen, never have an issue. I can say nothing but positive things about this place. The decor is cute and neat. The food is super delicious, great staff and they even give you a cash discount. Highly recommend
I’ve been wanting to check this restaurant out for a while now and it did not at all disappoint. I ordered the Chasyu ramen and partner ordered the veggie Hiyashi Chuka- both were delicious! Flavorful and perfect portions, we left very satisfied and with full and warm stomachs. I’m excited to come back and try their cold noodles and the pork buns. Additionally, service was wonderful, the prices were great, and the atmosphere was very cozy.
