Nice atmosphere and scenery. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Feels like you're at your grandparents house and all of your family and friends are gathered together for a celebration. Rustic style decorations makes it even more comfortable. The food is cooked to perfection and served fresh and hot.
Started off good with the appetizers and the mains were a let down. Looks good but flavor was off. The fried chicken was unseason. It was only fried with some hot spice on top but the waffle was good. The jumbolaya was a bit too salty. And the po boy was okay. Crayfish mac n cheese was good and was tasty.
Great place. Beautiful decor. Food was great. Overall experience was good. If you want quiet, go during brunch.
The fried oyster egg benedict with hash brown in casserole was so delicious! The staffs are friendly but it can be very busy during the brunch hours in the weekend. Would love to try other menus here as well!
Food is great, with personable service (from manager, during lul period).Had a simple and good cocktail with the essence of jalapenos!Their southern food is pretty good, considering it's NYC.All in cost for a non-happy hour cocktail, gumbo soup and banana pudding was pretty reasonable for NYC standards!
The food was amazingggg! My boyfriend and I dined in for Brunch, and we loved the food. 4 stars due to the lack of attention from the servers, and we honestly didn’t have a waiter to check in on us. I wish the service were better, but the food was incredible.
Must go!!! The food is so delicious! I haven't been to Louisiana but it definitely makes me crave more southern food. Their beignets slides are to die for, please try! Also went for brunch and had a crab cake Benedict and hash brown casserole it was delicious and the restaurant was bustling of course because people love the food
Oysters Rockefeller Benedict!
One of the best brunches in the city
Sugar Freak was a HIT! I love the vibe and the decorations of the place. I went on a Saturday night with my boyfriend and had no complaints. For drinks we got the pineapple mojitos. They were tasty and definitely gave me a buzz.?Appetizers: Broiled Oysters and Hushpuppies. Both were absolutely delicious!Main Course: Seafood Jambalaya - Good kick to it but it wasn't too spicy.Sweet Corn & Bacon Mac N' Cheese with the White Chicken Basket - BEST MAC N' CHEESE EVER! The chicken was also good but next time I go I'll get the spicy chicken instead. We finished the meal with the deep fried banana pudding and it was everything I needed to finish off a great meal. Shoutout to Antonio for making sure I had my dessert before the kitchen closed.I can't wait to come back!
