This is my to go place anytime I am in New York, it gives me that back home atmosphere. Lots of room to dine in, you won’t be able to resist dancing or singing while you wait in line. While lines can reach all the way to the door, the music and laughter coming from the bar will take your mind off the wait. Singh’s always have a full staff present that assist each customer, who pays attention to your specific needs, the variety of Trinidad food and deserts is amazing. You can find almost anything in this restaurant, the food is delicious and always the perfect temperature, I have tried almost everything on the menu. I would advised though to have the Trinidad fried rice package separately if you’re traveling and do not plan to eat it soon. They have the best customer service and food prices, top of my list for my authentic Trinidad food.
I came across this place visiting out of town, while staying nearby. It was busy every time I stepped inside. This is like a cantina place. There are tables but no table service. Prices seemed very reasonable. The server went out of her way to describe and show me what food they were serving, since I had very little clue what things were. Every time I was served by a different server, they were all equally great. If you're a sandwich person, you must try Aloo. It's a fried dough, (imagine an unflavored long John) with mashed potatoes inside and they add your choice of meat. The food was cooked well and delicious.
The food is soo good I ate here twice on my vacation. I felt like I was in Trinidad. So much to choose from I ate doubles both times. They were soo good. I also took lo mein on the plane home with me and I even ate it for work the next day so yummy. Macrons pie was ok could have had more flavor. But the second day looked better. I was to fill to try it again. The eggplant roti was to die for I didn’t even get to take a picture it was that good.
You are doing yourself a serious injustice if you don’t visit this restaurant as a West Indian or a tourist that wants a reminder of their last vacation experience. The selection are wide and far reaching in a few different cultures. Eat up and thank me later.
Great food since I’ve gone twice. The roti is very big so that’s awesome. Pumpkin and Roti is a must try!
Good Morning! My sister , My Aunt who was a guess from Trinidad and I was there on Sunday. The Staff was wonderful and on Point with the service. We buy fish dinner , shrimp dinner , roti skins and soft drinks. We sat and enjoy the wonderful meal with such a outstanding great taste. The staff who serve us was very kind and welcoming⭐⭐⭐⭐Thank You!
They have so much food available to choose from, you will need to go there one everyday from Monday to Sunday to try every meal.
The quality of the food is not the same. I was excited to finally get some rotin and curry but I was so disappointed. The buss up shot was hard and dry. The mango was not cooked and seasoned. The pumpkin chunks were way to big. All this food on going in the garbage. The roti was like cardboard. I have to find a new spot.
Perfect restaurant but the one star is for a staff there. My dad a city construction worker went in there with his working clothes to buy and because of his working clothes one of the staff decided to bash him asking him why he came to order food when he doesn't have money to pay. That staff needs to learn to respect every customer and don't judge a book by its cover!
This was my first time going here and sadly it would be my last. I was in the mood for some daul puri so I decided to give this place a try only because this other restaurant I would prefer had a very long line. The puri and soft enough and had enough peas to flour ratio but sadly had no taste at all. Like where is the taste. So nope will not be going back here
