Awesome food and great service

Shaku has their own twist on traditional Japanese food. Their broth is quite thick (as they state on their menu), they have an interesting mix of flavors (ie;Tonkatsu and miso) and even twist things in such a way that it screams that they are Korean owned and operated. Not saying it's bad, just not traditional Japanese. It was actually pretty good. The noodles were fresh. I wish they warmed the canned items before adding them to my bowl (bamboo shoots were still dripping with can juice and cold). They should learn what menu items mean before printing their menu, it's kinda silly saying pork roast pork, or chicken roast pork (charshu). I'm still trying to figure out why there was eel sauce on my bun.Still they delivered a good meal and I would recommend.

Not your traditional Ramen joint. It's definitely influenced by the owners Korean background. The thick Tonkatsu Ramen is very thick, but good. The canned items (bamboo shoots, etc) were cold and need to be warmed before introduced to the bowl. The bowl in general needs to be a bit hotter. The menu has a lot of misprints, such as Pork Charshu (pork roast pork) bao and chicken Charshu (chicken roast pork) bao. Something that could have been easily corrected. The bao sauce tastes like eel sauce, not very good. Could have been better.Still the service was good, food was not bad and I think they can do better. I would try again for sure.

Got tired of shopping at Hmart? Or thinking about eating first before shopping at Hmart? Either way, fill up your belly with delicious food here at Shaku Ramen!Shaku Ramen is a new Japanese restaurant that serves inventive appetizers, ramen and rice bowls. I went here hungry and was not disappointed. For appetizers; I got their chicken kaarage which was served with truflle mayo (must try), bao buns - both their steamed and fried versions, and their grilled leeks and spring onions. If you also check-in on the Yelp app and show it to your server, they will give you a heaping tray of Shishito peppers for FREE!I got their thick miso Tonkotsu ramen and it was heavenly. Each slurp of that soup will nourish your whole body after a long days work. But perhaps the star of the show was the A5 wagyu rice bowl. This rice bowl was righteous at its core. The A5 wagyu was cooked perfectly and the rice underneath compliments the whole dish perfectly. The jammy eggs rounds everything, making the bowl a complete meal. It is a bit pricey, but worth the experience.Overall, I will definitely be coming back to try their other menu items. There is still that Butadon Bouquet that I will try in the future. I hope and pray this restaurant keeps it quality and their awesome customer service for years to come.

My son bring me to this restaurant. 1 bowl of noodle $18 and The soup have no taste. I can cook better .. spent $80.. eating foods is about the taste.

Food and experience was good. Karaage was very good, definitely recommend that if you come here. I got the Shoyu and Miso ramen, both the broths were amazing.

Amazing food close to home. I’m surprised this type of place even exists in queens. The food is unique and worth the price.

Tried Shaku Ramen with a group of friends today, did not disappoint! Their truffle dipping sauce with the kickin kaarage was amazing, chicken was very tender. Their chashu buns were delicious. We shared the butadon bouquet, bunch of flavors that worked so well together. The best was the shoyu ramen spicy...creamy, flavorful with wavy noodles cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back!

A ramen oasis in Murray Hill Plaza serving hearty bowls of happiness. I keep wanting to try the donburi but the ramen is just too good! I've been back 3 times and keep needing more wavy noodle. The thick tonkatsu is indeed thick, and I recommend it with a side of smashed cucumbers. I prefer a lighter broth, and have enjoyed both the veggie shoyo and spicy clear miso. They recently added grilled garlic skewers in the menu, so good. The enoki tempura is a treat.Service is very attentive. Also, really appreciate the ambiance... it's like walking into a lofi video.

Nice and clean restaurant, we came early so there were plenty of seats. The food came out very hot and well presented. I would say that there are a lot of Ramen places in the neighborhood so it’s hard to say whether Shaku stood out. It was decent, but for the price, you sorta expect more. Menu has three types of Ramen, and the soup seemed to have a slight thickness to it like it’s mixed with starch or flour. It does seem more expensive when compared to other lunch options in the same strip mall.
