No words to describe food here. Just amazing and delicious ?Whole place is very cozy with amazing service and sometimes even with live music.Brings back the memories from Balkan.And ofcourse I'll be back here again.
Amazing food, amazing service and amazing experience. Enjoyed everything! Will definitely be back to try more things off the menu! 10/10 would recommend to a friend or anyone wanting to try Balkan cuisine!
Highly recommended!!! I was there with a group of friends two weeks ago and had an amazing time! This was our first time trying this type of cuisine and I was not sure what to expect. Everything was delicious, portions were generous and at a reasonable price. Also, they had live music. We all danced and had a great time. Will come back!
Selo has introduced me to Balkan cuisine, and in a short time it has become one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. As Latino I always look for food with a lot of flavor and this is what I have found in this restaurant. The attention by the team is excellent, Olja is special. I definitely recommend this restaurant for the food, great customer service but special for the Crepes !!!!
Selo is a hidden gem in Astoria ! From the appetizers to the main courses and desserts were delicious! The octopus, stuffed calamari , homemade gnocchi, meat platter, and variety of desserts were simply delicious. This was my third time here and each time I came, I left quite happy and full :). I have to give a grand shout out to The staff who are truly AWESOME in so many ways! I definitely recommend Selo - home cooked style food — reminds me so much of Croatia !
Outstanding lunch today at Selo. Each dish was absolutely delicious. Big fan of the gnocchi. We had the burek, Monastery peppers, homemade Istrian gnocchi and Karadordjeva w/ pork and washed it down with a Nisko Lager. I’m a fan and will certainly return, many times.
Delicious home style balkan food! Just like I had growing up. Especially the žito torta desert which my mom would make every year while we were kids.

This restoran is Amazing!Their balkan food is delicious, staff is polite, and they respond on customers special requests.I had wedding lunch at Selo and it was great!We brought our personal decoration ,they let us decorate, we had special treatment from all restaurant staff ..Amazing food ,nice atmosphere..nice place on Astoria ✅??
Got the shrimp gnocchi.For anyone whose not familiar with Istrian (Croatian) food, it’s very similar to northern Italian food.Friendly owner and staff.A welcome addition to broadway.Would highly recommend.
