The dude that served us had the best service I’ve had in a while. The appetizers were so good I forgot to take a pic.Weird flex - they got a built in fan in the outdoor seating area. Never seen that before. The lamb chops were more tender than the lamb kebabs. That green sauce is soo good. I must have used like 1/4th of it.I’ll def be back.

Many things I can say about This place but I’ll keep it short and sweet, first off the food is AMAZING, 100% top notch best Afghan Food I’ve had so far, this Franchises food has beat each Afghan Restaurant I’ve been to by a mile, I highly recommend their Bolani And Their fried eggplant as starters/apps and their kebabs are just unbelievable the way they melt in your mouth, the spices, everything about it is just wow. Another standout is their service, I mean it’s simply unbelievable, the young man our waiter was so nice and extremely welcoming, throughout the whole dinner he made sure we got what we needed, on time and even threw in a delicious dessert for us at the end of our meal. Moral of the review, ?? 10/10, 5 ⭐️ restaurant, amazing Service I don’t think I’ve had that kind of service before and you will definitely will come back after visiting if you haven’t already. I wil?

Went on a Saturday late afternoon. No one else was eating there. There are enough seats to accommodate ~20 people. First off, there is no bathroom there. Which is a pretty big mark against them. Certainly some smaller places in Manhattan won't have a bathroom but when you can seat 20 people and still don't have a bathroom, that's bizarre. So that was a bad start.Service was friendly throughout. The food was good. We got the bolani kachalu, borani banjan, naan, and uzbeki qabuli pulao. I ordered lentil soup but they got the order wrong and instead brought me mantu (steamed dumplings). I explained we didn't order that to which they replied that the dish is very good. Because we didn't order it and we pointed it out immediately, they did not charge us.The food itself is good. It's not better than any other Afghani restaurant I've been to in Queens or BK. But it's good.Because the servers were friendly and the food was solid, I'll give it a 4. I would give it a 3.5 if I could but I tend to round up. Given lack of bathroom, wrong order, and food that can be had anywhere, I won't be back.TL;DR: If you're in the area and doing takeout, go for it. Otherwise, don't make a trip for it.

Best meal I've had in a long time. Inside was decorated wonderfully. I'm not eating rice so they accommodated with amazing spinach. Can't rave enough. You will leave smiling. Can't wait to go back worth the two hour drive from Jersey.

Tried this for the first time since they opened. I was pleasantly surprised by how aromatic and tasty the mantu (dumplings) were. The portions were decent, and there was SO MUCH rice, but the kebabs had a great flavor and char to them. The servers were also extremely kind and even gave us a rice pudding on the house.

Excellent tasty food!Tried the mixed kabob dish at this place for the first time, ingredients were fresh, food was tasty, and the meat was juicy. I also tried the rice pudding which had the best level of sweetness. I would like it warm though. It came cold. I highly recommend the food. Staff were professional and very polite .

Great new addition to the hunters point area! First time here and I know it’ll be a repeat. Everything we ordered, from the lentil soup to the shrimp shawarma was spiced/seasoned abundantly. Really good. Never had afghan food before so I can’t attest to the “authenticity,” but if this is what Afghan food is like then consider me a fan! Hope this location does well like the one in Astoria.

If I can give 10 stars I would. Delicious Kebabs. Need that White Sauce Recipe. Also The owner gave me Free Pudding and Tea on the House.

Sami’s is such a great addition to the neighborhood. The food is delicious and flavorful. Not only is the meat tender and delicious, but the rice with raisin and carrots are quite the combo! Highly recommend the braised lamb. And the custard was the perfect way to end a delicious meal. Everyone there was super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place! Can’t wait to go back!

Foods great. Portions on the smaller side. Lamb is really tender, Chicken was a little dry but still worth 5 stars. Took away a star because the woman (who I think is part owner) was pretty rude. Zero customer service skills. Didn’t even make eye contact when I walked in to pickup. The guy on the counter who I also think is part owner was extremely nice. Gave me a hot tea and chatted for a second. I would definitely come back everything in the picture was around $52. Quality food.
