Very good waitress service. Food with reasonable prices and good portions, but I would underline the use of oregano and dill without limit. It was a bit excessive. Plus, as far as I know, oregano doesn't go well with seafood, anyway.Cleanness ? Oh no. as soon as I opened the menu, which was full of grease , there were grains of rice stuck to the sheets. Also the forks were not well washed! plate's broken on the rim. Plus the loud Egyptian musicOk, I understand, it's an Egyptian restaurant, but different races go there, and maybe the loud music bothers them. With a few changes, they can make the restaurant have 5 stars! These were some recommendations, I hope you implement them!

THE FOOD IS DEEEE-LICIOUS!! I HAD THE MUSSELS STEAMED IN WHITE WINE AS AN APPETIZER & THEY TASTED SO GOOD THAT I REALLY WANTED A SECOND ORDER!! I HAD THE SEAFOOD COMBO FOR 2 (SEE PIC) SO I COULD EAT SOME & TAKE THE REST HOME FOR LATER. THE ENTREE CAME WITH RICE (OR YOU CAN GET FRIES) & SALAD & DELICIOUS BREAD. REALLY GENEROUS PORTIONS & ALL OF THE FOOD WAS SEASONED JUST RIGHT.

The food at Sabry’s is to die for! The seafood combo for two will feed 3-4 people. The bread was the best bread I’ve ever eaten. The owner was very kind and we had great service.

Good Egyptian seafood cuisine in Astoria. This area is a mini hub for middle eastern restaurants. We ordered 2 broiled Bronzino fish. The meal came with one small salad, one small serving of hummus and 3 pieces of freshly baked Egyptian bread and 2 servings of rice. Fish was charred to the point of entirely blackened outside but inside was moist and soft to the point of being soggy. Somehow it lacked flavor inside and tasted bland while the outer skin was bitter due to over charring. Overall it was just ok. Bread, hummus and salad were tasty and fresh. Rice was ok. We also ordered Egyptian tea with mint which actually turned out to be the highlight of the meal. This meal cost us $100 with tip.

Freshest seafood I have had in a long time and I trust that most would say the same. Amazing

First time trying Egyptian food and it was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and attentive as well. The seafood platter for 2 is well worth it.

Review update: first time we tried this place it was great, quiet & affordable( I even gave it a 5 star review in here). The second time we went, we had the worst experience! We waited literally 55mn to get our food, the server was ignoring us, there were literally people who came after us, who ate & left (but I’m not blaming him, the poor guy was overwhelmed, disorganized & running all over). The food was not as good, I guess they were so crowded that they were just rushing to get things out! We ordered a grilled fish and they gave us a roasted one. We also ordered a shrimp dish and they gave us a pot filled with canned crushed tomatoes & 5 shrimps swimming inside… all that after a 55mn wait & the best part is that we paid $90 for these two mediocre dishes… Such a disappointment!!A little advice to whoever is managing this place: Quality over quantity! Opening a number of tables that you can’t properly handle will just get you reviews like this.

Best seafood in town, the soup was out of this world, the sea bass was amazing, definitely coming back every time I’m in New York

The seafood is amazingly fresh. Wonderful service! Egyptian hospitality.

Have to get the branzino Egyptian style it’s awesome. Along with the shrimp scampi and the clams in white sauce. I have gone three times in two weeks and makes me sad I have not gone earlier. This place has been in business for 19 years
