We are 3 pho ex lua and 3 bun cha gio thit nuong total $79.80 on April 12, 2022. The pho and bun is delicious and tasty like more than 30 year ago location on Mott street in Canals China town New York 30 ago.
This place is the gold standard when it comes to no-frills Vietnamese food. The pho is great and all, but the grilled pork chop over rice is amazing! One tip is don't be one of the first few customers to order the pork chop, you might get a reheated unsold left over from the day before. Go during the day when they've started grilling freshly marinated chops, and prepare yourself for some of the best Viet food in NYC. Banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) is also great here, toasted and assembled to order. Cash only.
This is my go to pho place. The portions are huge for the price- my sister and I shared one bowl and we couldn't finish it. The iced coffee with condensed milk is amazing too. I had it for the first time today and it was so refreshing! I also highly recommend the spring rolls.
admittedly the attitude of some workers are beyond relief but the food here is good nonetheless.
Come here for authentic Vietnamese foods. Portion of the foods have been decreased and the price had gone up fast and high over the years due to popularity and its high rating. Take out waiting time is about 10-15 minutes. I Recommend Vietnamese egg roll and #1 special pho. Lately they’ve replaced basils with cilantro in the phos and is totally cheap and changed the flavor.

This is one of the best places in the city to get Pho. The food here is incredibly delicious, the waitstaff are friendly and attentive, and the food comes out promptly after ordering. I came in around 5pm on a Sunday and thankfully there was no wait and we were seated (party of two at a table for four) immediately. I ordered my go-to’s which are Summer Rolls and a large bowl of Pho and, as per usual, they did not disappoint. The grilled pork chop on top of rice is also one of my favorites.I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area and/or if you’re looking for some amazing authentic Vietnamese food at fair prices.FYI: This is as much of a no frills restaurant as it gets. You come in, you eat, and you go. Otherwise, visibly impatient employees will hover around you. Just don’t make eye contact to avoid any awkwardness and you’ll be fine until you’re ready to leave lol. Cash only (pay up at the cashier) and don’t forget to tip back at your table.
One of my all time favorite place to eat pho!
The main issues I have with Pho Bang lies in the staff of the store and the Pho there. Me and my partner went to Pho Bang because of great reviews, both on google and Reddit because we wanted to try something new, our usual place being Pho Best.As soon as I entered the door, there were no one to direct us to a seat. I had to ask a staff to show me to a seat to which he pushed the work to another staff member. (The store was not busy at the time. Other than us there were only 3 other tables occupied out of 10+. At first, this was an issue I could ignore. However, when I ordered the food, not only did the same staff push the work on the same person, both being elderly, but he also mocked the way I ordered. (I had to repeat my orders a few time because they were having a hard time hearing my through my mask). This is more evident when checking out, with people going to the counter themselves to others getting their bill picked up, I waved at a waiter to ask what to do and, surprise surprise, the same waiter pushed the work to another waiter as they were entering the kitchen. Instead of a waiter, the person who picked up our bill was a man in full black carrying trash to the front, either a cook or a janitor I don’t know. I was packing up and waiting for my change when a waiter told me I needed to go up to the front and get it myself. That was just the customer service. Now to the food.I mainly go to these stores for Pho, so if there were other food that were better, I didn’t try it. As far as Pho goes, Pho Bang underperformed in my opinion. Not only were the portion size much smaller than Pho best, the soup tasted watery was not nearly hot enough to cook my meat all the way through. That being said, by itself it was not terrible. However, the atmosphere of the store most definitely did not help. I’m not sure if Pho Bang is cutting corners for me, but I’m not seeing any of the 5 star reviews other people see in person. This isn’t even including how unsanitary the utensils were, which were both out in the open and on the counter with nothing stopping other people from touching or coughing on your spoons. Maybe I’m paranoid, however, the pandemic has gotten a lot of people paranoid.Overall,Food, 3/5Service, 1/5Environment, 2/5Experience, 2/5.
It's not a fancy place where you have to dress up for steak. but very chill place. price is reasonable and quantity is reasonable as well. A great wine selection with great service. Their chimichurri is so gooood.
