Safe for folks with shellfish allergies! Much appreciated.Staff are nice and the food is AMAZING, also. They pack takeout very well, btw, making this my go to for picnic bites when I’m in the neighborhood. Sometimes I also drive it home — an hour away! Still hot and fresh.Magical all around. Do yourself a favor and GO!
When you walk in, you can already smell how fresh the food is! I got the Egusi soup and Fufu. It’s vegetarian, but you can add spicy goat or chicken. I chose the chicken. It was on the savory/sweet side. Kinda tomato-y. I’m used to eating ghost pepper so I ate it with that at home lol Delicious and halal!HALAL:-Animal was fed vegetarian diet-Animal was not given any growth hormones-Animal was slaughtered by hand. Not by a machine/factory. Person who slaughtered it basically said “thank you God for this food”.-Animal’s blood is completely drained (this means there is less chance of bacteria growing in it. Meat will stay fresh longer).
I almost called back as soon as I got home and tried the food just to say how DELICIOUS it is. I had been wanting to try the food for months and it was even better than I expected. The spicy goat and the egusi soup are amazing, as is the jollof rice and fufu. Highly recommend all of them and can’t wait to come back to try everything else.As everyone else mentioned, the owner Beatrice is so lovely and the kind of place you happily support and want to come back to.Hopefully someday there will be some seating outside so us Nneji fans can enjoy the food there as well! Also check out their store Ibari on 23rd, amazing gifts, food items, beautiful jewelry.
The food is superb, decadent and flavorful. The environment is welcoming with rich aromas and colors. The owner, Beatrice, was also super kind and knowledgeable.
Incredibly delicious food. Generous portions. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Super friendly staff.Meat is falling of the bone, spicy but not overpowering. The tomato soup dish (Egusi) is amazing.
Just go grab some dishes they have and chat with the owner, it is one of the best things you can do in new New York city.Delicious and delightful!
Delicious food and friendly staff! They took the time to talk about the dishes with me and gave recommendations. I had the chicken, jollof rice and okra! Loved them all. So flavourful without being overpowering. Wish they had tables and chairs so I can dine here with friends
