This is a very nice and clean hotel with a very convenient location. Very close to the city and just adjacent to the La Guardia airport. Hotel is very clean and contemporary. Good breakfast option. The staff were just amazing - especially Zedonna who reached out to me ahead of time. I had some questions about parking and breakfast and she addressed all of them ahead of time.
Just ok. Rooms are nice enough for a Marriott. Updated recently. But the hotel is so loud, almost zero insulation from the outside. Heard NY traffic all night. Inside isn’t much better. Could hear everything going on in rooms next to me and woken up multiple times throughout the night by slamming doors down the hallway.
My only complaint is the paper thin duvet. Granted typically no one wants to be hot while they sleep but I think a newspaper would have provided the same amount of coziness as the paper thin duvet did on the King Size bed. I was frozen even with the AC set at 72 degrees.
I want to love this hotel, but I cannot.Pros: Close to the airport, Rooms are clean and newly renovated, Have internet TV which is very important nowadays.Cons: My room was directly facing the busy freeway, I'm on the 5th floor, is it super noisy whenever a car passed by, I couldn't sleep well at all!Even though there are more pros than cons, but there's no point how well the room or the customer service is if customer couldn't sleep well in a hotel. Not recommended. And I'm not coming back.
A warm welcome awaits any body who visits the hotel. Very helpful staff. Generous hospitality, even in the absence of the elite lounge. Lynnette, one of the officers deserves a special mention. She sometimes calls herself 'Maria', to remain incognito. Cheerful team. For Elite members, an upgrade to one of the suites is worth your money and stay.
Just visited for a sports tournament. We had a FANTASTIC experience. The front desk staff, specially Julie made our stay even better with her warm welcome and professionalism. The staff at Ditmars Grill was also very attentive and seemed happy to help and I could tell they wanted to provide a great experience to the guests. Jaime was great! He took our order on our first day and our kids had forgotten and ipod case, and he made sure to get it back to us. They offer a nice breakfast buffet over the weekend but it's a la carte during the week. I preferred the convenience of the breakfast buffet over a la carte. Overall the staff there was very attentive. The hotel as well as our room were maintained very clean, whomever did the housekeeping for our room did an excellent job keeping it clean and smelling fresh, specially after coming back from being out in the sun all the day. Thank you to the staff at Marriott LaGuardia! Would definitely recommend but make sure to try and get the package that includes breakfast and parking!
This property is within walking distance of LaGuardia Airport. They do have a free shuttle if you are unable to walk. Everyone at the front desk and restaurant were very nice and welcoming. Rooms have been updated and are modern, comfortable, and quiet. Wi-Fi worked well. Plenty of outlets to charge our electronics, and lots of channels to choose from on TV. Shower is roomy, had lots of hot water, and bed was very comfortable. Food was good at the restaurant. I would recommend.
An absolute nightmare. I’m just going to go straight to the point: 1. the airport shuttle breezes by you and doesn’t even make an attempt to stop for pick up. You would have to call and wait another 15-20 minutes and MAYBE he will stop by the next time around. Might as well walk. 2. The food at the restaurant is awful. 3. Service at the front desk is poorer than poor. 4. I was charged for a market item that I did not take, it took 1 week for it to be resolved. I told the front desk upon check out who couldn’t find a receipt to substantiate the charge and still refused to remove it and instead directed me to accounting. By the way, if you want to speak to accounting, they never follow through. You would have to literally hound them down. 5. I left a voicemail for the GM and surprise (not) no call back or acknowledgment.
I wasn’t staying there but the hotel bar had great food. They close at 12:00am.
Our daughter's evening flight was cancelled, with no other options for a late flight to the West Coast. We panicked a bit, knowing that she was at LGA alone - with us on the opposite coast. LaGuardia Marriott to the rescue! We booked immediately and she was on the shuttle within 15 minutes. She told us that the shuttle driver wouldn't allow any passengers onto the shuttle, who could not show proof of a hotel reservation - we appreciated this extra level of security. Our daughter said that check-in was easy and the staff was not only professional / polite, but seeing that she was alone, provided extra "comfort" and ensured her security. She was given a nice room next to the elevator, on the 6th floor. She rode the elevator up with two other business women. She ate at the restaurant (take-out) and she said that the food was good. The shuttle returned her to the airport at 5:00 a.m. and we are VERY THANKFUL TO THE LAGUARDIA MARRIOTT FOR TAKING CARE OF OUR COLLEGE STUDENT DAUGHTER when we couldn't be there. Thank you for easing our worries and for your professionalism. Our daughter said that she would not hesitate to stay here again.
