Echoing what others have said recently: tasty food, disappointing service. Have been here multiple times the last 6 months and it took exceptionally long to get the orders. Sitting down took 25+ minutes to get a simple falafel platter (without other customers around or many takeout orders). Calling ahead for a wrap, was told 25 mins on the phone (very long, but reasonable if busy) - but it was not busy when arriving for pickup and had to wait an extra 5-10 mins because the order hadn't even started preparation yet.The food is genuinely flavorful, but with rising prices and unreliable service I can't recommend it to others
I just picked up my order and it is not very good. The fries are so stale hard, they snap in half. They taste like they were made yesterday and they fried them again this morning. The shawarma is rolled into a tortilla and not pita bread so it’s very gummy and chewy and the filling is… not there. Nothing but mashed up chicken and sauce (it doesn’t look shawarma style to me and the spinning rotisserie meat cooking area were empty and spotless). I asked if there was usually pickles when I ordered over the phone and he said yes. There was one pickled turnip slice and no other vegetables in it.There is also the $5.50 fatoush salad. No meat or anything and it comes in the tiniest container I’ve ever seen a salad come in. No dressing. And the pita is soggy even though the lettuce is dry.I also ordered Knafeh. It was a good size. It did not have nuts or cheese or anything just the shredded phyllo dough, no extra simple syrup or anything. The people there were nice.I was excited to check out this “new” place but honestly the food was much better when it was the other Egyptian spot. Prices were fine except for the tiny salad. I just don’t want a tortilla wrapping my Egyptian food and want to be able to bite through my French fries.
I ordered chicken shawarma platters on seamless that arrived a full hour late. There's no way to contact them since their phones don't work. Just don't bother with this place.
Unfortunately, my experience was really tough. I ordered Susaj Feteer as it's a popular item. Susaj meat rarely stuffed inside, a lot of vegetables, and not cheesy at all. In addition, the size compared with the ones I got from the other same kind of restaurants is smaller. I don't recommend! ??
I ordered the hawawshi and stuffed grape leaves. Absolutely delicious. Had me craving more for days
Had very tasty dine in experience. Great price for the quality.
Good food.Bad service, they took so long to get to us. And they were messy.but food test was ok and they need to improve their customer service.
This place is really good and the food is delicious and fresh .I enjoyed my koushary there .it reminds me my country ?they deserve 5 stars
This place used to be my favorite place but not anymore. They used to give good portions when they opened. But now the portions doesn't match what you pay for. They barley give saladIn the plate. I got less than 2oz of salad in my plate. In the falafel plate they used to give tahini on the side but now they put a tiny drizzle on the top of the plate!! I called to complain, the lady who was talking in the phone never apologized and I was told that the manger will contact me but never did. I will never return to this place.
This is the first time we came to this place, and me and my sister were very happy about the food. We ordered the kofta kebab, and the taste is excellent. It is light and full of flavor. We also have baba gandoush, and it is great with the warm bread that they have. Super satisfactory.
