This place was a surprising delight! The ambience, food and service was exceptional.I also really loved the miniature models all around made by a woman at the restaurant. I would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

On our second visit to the place, I noticed a change of restroom; the atomosphere was geogeous and of course it’s clean, and didn't feel like a restroom. So I couldn't help but take pictures. It is a place where you can truly feel how happy you are to be treated. When the staff found out it was my husband's birthday, she prepared such a pretty and delicous dish. And I ordered coffee, which was tasty Kona coffee, came out so luxurious. Mokja pleased us bumper to bumper!!! Thumbs Up!!

Food and service are excellent at Mokja!Your experience starts with a friendly hostess. Followed by getting offered hand sanitizer and a wet towel before getting the menu. Idk about you but I love this. Do you know or can you imagine how many germs live on menus ??!The next perk is the water is infused with lemon/lime and IDK what else but it’s so tasty. Finally, the best part is the food. We tried the kimchi pancake and the vegetarian bibimbap - delicious! It was crunchy in all the best places and the rice was exquisite.Definitely will return and recommend to everyone!

I usually order delivery but finally today in here on the spot!! I have to say this is just amazing and these glasses are the cleanest I've ever seen in NYC!! ? The service is spot on and even have hot towels before the meal!! If you are in Astoria come to this delicious restaurant

I live in the area and I've had Mokja many times before but this was my first dine in experience. I went in early evening and the restaurant was not full. I'd say that they had a moderate crowd. We were sat immediately and from then on it was business as usual. Ordered delicious food. Eat said food. Feel full. Our server was excellent; not too absent but not too overbearing. I will definitely be back to dine in.The food, in my honest opinion, was better dining in. I dunno. Maybe its a temperature thing.

Very acceptable. Left satisfied (though it was a bit pricey) and would go back again. Still, nothing was soooo good that I would give it five stars or suggest people who live outside the area must travel for. If you are a local, you will enjoy this meal on a casual Wednesday evening.

Our first time there tonight and the ambiance was so beautiful, the music was cool and relaxing and everything about the experience was amazing. We had the chicken dumplings, hot stone bibimbap, marinated short rib dinner box and it was all delicious. The service was great from Tina and the rest of the staff. Can’t wait to go back and try out more dishes!

My sister and her husband took my wife and me here. It is very cute inside. Clean too. The waitress comes around with hand sanitizer and hot towels. A very nice touch indeed. The owner builds miniature 'doll house' rooms. One can find them all around the restaurant, even in the very clean bathroom. Now on to the food. Just writing about it makes me wish I was there right now. The appetizers were great; kinship, pickled yellow radishes & Korean potato salad. Each visit, I am told, offers different appetizers. I had a steak boxed dinner and my sister had a beef stew. My wife had vegetarian fried rice. My brother-in-law had kimshee fried rice. We also share a Korean pancake. It was all delicious. It is a short ride on the 'N' train to the Broadway stop in Astoria, Queens and a short walk. It is well worth the trip.

Very good affordable Korean food. Went there twice and they had added even more food on the next time. The waitresses are extremely kind and the food was delicious and well displayed. The interior has a cozy vibe to it which I really liked and although small in size, it’s really a great place to dine out.

i ordered their mandoo (fried pork dumplings), kimchi fries, and army stew (kimchi flavored broth with ramen and an assortment of vegetables and spam). the mandoo came out fresh and tasted pretty good. i typically prefer a slightly thinner dumpling skin fried more crispy, but the meat/filling was good. i didn’t care too much for the kimchi fries. the kimchi as a stand alone is phenomenal. but together, it was simply regular fries with kimchi sprinkled on top. the army stew was very flavorful and came out piping hot. the taste of the broth was a slightly spicy kimchi flavor with hints of sausage/spam. overall, the dish is perfect as is especially on a cold winter’s day.
