A great spot for bbq!All of the meat here (chicken, brisket, ribs) were well made - juicy, tender, and succulent. I was very impressed by the ribs since the meat practically melts in your mouth. The mac and cheese was tasty and had a great consistency.Their pilsner was also refreshing and delightful. We went on an early Friday evening. Not busy and the workers were friendly.Although their BBQ sauce was great, I would like to see more variety of flavors.Would definitely recommend this spot!
Mighty Quinn is one of my favorite restaurant spots. The ribs are somewhat amazing.. not as good as mine (none are ;) ), but way above average. They have other options which lately have gotten quite expensive, but you get a lot of food for the money. Also, very friendly service. I felt welcome and at home here as I have at other locations :)My only complaint is that the outside tables were all wiggly. And not the kind of wiggly that you could just stick a sugar packet under the table leg because of an uneven sidewalk, the tables themselves are wiggly. I tried to screw them into place by hand and that improved things a little. Hopefully they will get that resolved. I'm confident they will take care of the issue, after all it is a new restaurant and perhaps they are still getting the bugs out.
It was delicious. Plenty to rave about. You just need to understand that it is a typical BBQ no-frills restaurant setting where you order you food at the counter and bring it back to you table. No waiter service. Only thing I would recommend to the owner is to offer real utensils instead of plastic. That truly cheapens the overall good experience. Good bar selection too.
Like I say :" come early for a better service". I can't believe they now have 7 spots ... Everything my party ordered was on point (sure the wings could be much bigger...) Clean a++ the staff change their gloves regularly a++... Attention a++... A great addition for Forest Hill ... Price is consistent with any other bbq spot in Bk or Qns...Those that left a 1star don't know ribs and should not even comment cause everyone else is giving Em a 5 (maybe that day was an off service or the customer had an off day...) Next time I come and it's Consistent with those four points : consistent flavor , cleanliness, attention & price - then I'll leave a Five...
I visited the Forest Hills location yesterday with my husband and granddaughter. My husband had the brontosaurus rib with sweet potato, I had the brisket with fries and my granddaughter the ribs/brisket combo with Mac and cheese. I found the brisket to be quite fatty but tender. My husband found his ribs very tender but also fatty. My granddaughter enjoyed the ribs. All sides were excellent. Happy to see a new diverse food establishment in Forest Hills, but it will not be a place I would visit too often.
God damn. This place is bomb. Food was great. Nice bar but didnt try the drinks yet. Service was amazing. Clean interior design.
People who worked there were friendly but very disorganized. The food, is so bad. Overly salted, dry as hell. And expensive. The 2 meat platter comes with child portions that they literally weigh in front of you and no sides. They charge you extra for brisket, burnt ends, and ribs. Here’s a break down of everything we tried:Ribs- small portion, dry and saltyBurnt ends- small portion, just cubes of random meat that are dry, not actual burnt endsBrisket- small portion, decent but a bit dry, best meat out of the bunch which is a low a standard.Chicken wings- the WORST chicken wings I’ve ever had. (We ate them as we were hungry and paid for them but man were they bad) small, dry, no sauce.Side were ok;Mac and cheese was creamy but a bit bland“Creamy coleslaw” was dry not creamy and had a weird off taste, the free little vinegar coleslaw was much tastier.
Oh my gosh! I can’t even say how happy I was to come and eat here today. I had my family visiting bc I’d mentioned there was a bbq place in the neighborhood that was supposed to be amazing. You guys did not disappoint! First of all, I loved how nice and enthusiastic the staff was. Multiple people helped us and were patient as we looked over the menu and asked questions about the different sides and meats offered. We got smoked sausage, brontosaurus ribs (which are MASSIVE) pork ribs, 1/4 chicken, wings, crispy chicken sandwich, baked beans with burnt ends, burnt ends, Mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts and the dirty fries. Every single thing we tried we absolutely loved. The fries were perfect, they stayed hot and crispy even with all that delicious burnt ends and sauce. The Mac and cheese was unreal with the pasta not being overdone and all the creamy cheesy deliciousness you want in Mac and cheese. I even reheated some later and it was as good as when I first ordered it. Those baked beans are awesome and I loved all the burnt ends in there. My family absolutely loved the food. My nephew inhaled his wings which I thought had the perfect amount of sauce and meat on them. We definitely needed a place like this in the neighborhood. From the top notch food, the beautiful, clean interior and awesome staff and manager, T who made our first visit a warm & wonderful one. You have made us BIG FANS of Mighty Quinn’s. Can’t wait to come back again soon.
Excellent staff, service and food. We tried brisket, sausage, pulled pork and ribs. The brisket and ribs were super tender and the sides were as equally tasty as the meats. We had plenty of leftovers (we got two 2 meat platters) even though we ate our fill. The food is so flavorful but we didn't feel heavy afterwards. A great addition to the neighborhood especially as the staff was so welcoming and enthusiastic.
This review is for their catering service - which we had a great experience with. I remember having Mighty Quinn's for the first time several years ago in the city and truly enjoyed their food, especially their brisket - so we were very happy to see one open up in the neighborhood. We ordered catering from Mighty Quinn's for my daughter's birthday party and all the food was amazing. Our guests truly enjoyed it and commented on how good the food was. Beyond the food, the highlight of my experience with Forest Hills Mighty Quinn's is their manager, T - she was a delight to work with, so helpful, kind, and reassuring. She and her exceptional team even kindly delivered our orders a few steps from their restaurant and helped set it up at our venue as well.Thank you T and Might Quinn's team for a great, hassle-free experience. The cost for both the amazing food and service was truly worth it!
