our waiter was amazing at his job and very kind The food was not as good as I recall we went there to hear the Gree music at first we sat inside but between the air blowing, the music and people it was not pleasant. I think because people had to talk over the air food was good but the Greek salad missed olive oil and was put on a plate as to give the illusion you are getting more but its less. Who puts a salad on a plate? than I ordered something my grandmother made for me greek yogurt, with walnuts and honey. LEt me tell you there was a pinch of honey. I know restaurants have been hit hard and that is why we go out to eat to support our local restaurants but certain things I could not keep silent about. Again, everyone, there was super friendly. One last thing they do not have ERW and I had to bring my own water.
Fatherâs Day Lunch was great!
Kitchen was a mess. Took an hour to get a salad. one entree comes a half hour after that. Second entree comes fifteen minutes later. Appetizers were slated to come after that (we had to refuse them at that point). Loukaniko well undercooked. On the grilled platter for two, there were literally six French fries. Unfortunate, been here numerous times and have told many people to try this place over Cyclades, but it seems like they’ve started to mail it in.
First time here and not a disappointment! Grilled octopus as an appetizer that was so tender and melted in your mouth. Entrees were the lamb chops and fried sardines. Desserts were the lemon pie and Maria’s signature blueberry baklava. Accompanied with a delightful Greek Pinot noir. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS. Rob was our guy, very friendly, professional and attentive as with all the other staff. Glad we went a bit early as the place was hopping. Yes, get there earlier with a reservation and be patient if you’re trying to find parking in the area. We’ll be back! OOPAAH!
Maria’s always delivers on great food and friendly service! From the zucchini chips to the branzino to the blueberry baklava and everything in between, it was all delicious and served with a smile! Will be back again!
Friday date nights. Had to meet my wife in queens because trains weren't moving right so we ate here. I must say. PHENOMENAL. everything was so good. We got there late and waiter told us to order before kitchen closes..... first instinct was the wrong instinct. Everything came out in due time. Nothing was rushed and everything cooked to perfection and now i know why he rushed us to order. I've had Greek in a lot of places and i must say i was amazed. The 3 dips with the pita chips is a must. Shrimp scampi was unlike any scampi I've ever had. So lemony and tasty. I told the waiter to go eat with the sauce because i dish wasn't a lot of butter. Bad move. I wish i had all that sauce and i would have put it on everything lol. Thank you Maria's for being everything i never expected to find in a rush choice.
Restaurant couldn’t find our reservation and blamed it on the fact we made it too close to the dining time, despite the fact it was over an hour and a half prior to arriving. We had to wait 20+ minutes to be seated. Once seated, we again waited to be served and our order taken.
The food was very good my wife had hold fish she love it we will be back I had to moussaka very good to
Thought to give this place one more chance however every time I leave I find the food very unsatisfying and basically tasteless. The grilled pork chops over done, had to saw through it. My fillet of sole had no flavor at all. It’s a shame.
The only negative (I had to dig deep to find one) is that the 2 of the things that I ordered were not available. One was a cocktail in from the drink menu and the other an entree. I just wish that those items would be removed from the menu if the ingredients are unavailable. Other than that, everything was excellent. Will be going back again!
