Food and ambiance is not what it used to be. The area where the brick oven pizza used to be made is dark and depressing. There are not enough menu choices and the portions are very small.
Impeccable service, chic ambiance, and drool worthy food. I canât stop thinking about the rigatoni with sausage and branzino.

Food was very good. Service started out great, but after we received our appetizers we did not see our waiter at all and the entrees did not come out for another 40 minutes. Our waiter checked on us once after our meals arrived, then it took a Berry long time for him to return and clear the plates when we were finished. After that it was another 10 minutes before our coffee order was taken, and another 15 minutes to get our check after we finished our coffee. We arrived at 6:45 and did not leave until almost 9:00. The meal should not have taken anywhere close to that long.
The restaurant was blasting â70s disco music the entire evening, even at the end of the night when there were only 3 tables that were still occupied. I happen to love that type of music, but not while Iâm dining and trying to have a conversation with my dinner guests. We asked them to turn it down numerous times, and although they said ok, they never did. The food was very good, tasty and of good quality, but honestly, I couldnât even enjoy it due to the music.
Everything was Amazing! I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Everytime I come to have dinner at Maiella it is always absolutely incredible. The gnocchi was out of this world!
